Think your assumptions might be a tad incorrect this evening chris_stibrany.

Dont know about reactive rather than proactive, I'm not there for a start.

Im flabbergasted and sickened some racist muppet could do such a thing through, and a known wrong'yin at that.

Like I said i'm not in France/Paris, but in a situation like that, being proactive would seem to be a good thing by my guess as opposed to the alternative.

Also I'm 47 mate which is rather a far cry from 60 ta very much. LoL

There is no reason to ever go out and want to shoot unarmed people at community centers and that's just a fact any sane person understands perfectly well.

If he was sane he would not have already have attempted to perpetuate crap like this in the past.

As to woke BS in this nation, aka the UK, can't see how anything of the sort, has anything to do with this tragic incident, so "no" would be my answer to the question there, which don't make much sense by my guess.

Im on the other side of the English channel Riouz5 and about 400 miles to the north or thereabouts but cheers for the concern.

The mans a piece of s@#t no two way about it.

And seemingly known to authorities regarding similar antics in the past.

A racist coward that will now face the full justice of the law with any luck.

France already has strict gun control laws carewemust.

www.thelocal.fr...

Guns in the hands of lunatics like that muppet is the problem.

Then do the opposite. Encourage everyone to arm themselves. Here in America, a shooter often gets taken out by an armed bystander. The people of France should consider that option.

Im not quite sure myself, some racist lunatic executing people outside community centers, who it turns out was seemingly known to authorities for similar acts of depravity would be my guess.

They are just venting anger and abuse at authorities i suppose which won't really solve much on this occasion if we are honest or any other in the past.

As to the cops, the ones that tackled him to the floor would indeed seem to have did their job and then some.

Props to those brave officers.

France is one of the most heavily armed nations in Europe where private gun ownership is concerned carewemust.

In America crap like this happens just about every week, I don't think your solution would work or is wanted to be honest in France.

Then again I'm not French nor in France but my understanding is that gun control and illegal firearms are already a major issue.

Arming more lunatics with such by my guess would only add fuel to the fire.

My Brother in law and his other half went last year and said it was indeed rather beautiful, but also rather expensive.

But they are one of the most socialist governments in EU and all the countries around them are great... no Mexico's there.

Well sir, with due respect, because I know we would get along in person;
Paris has become a bigger # hole than ever. My 'better half' had to go there for visa things and it was a ghetto full of homeless camps on the Champs and a lot of African migrants hussling people and armed guards with rifles on a lot of corners.

When I went there in the 90s it was not like that at all.

So i can understand the average Frenchmans' disgust at seeing his Capitale going to crap.
Just like us putain Americaines hate seeing DC go to # with the fences and Guard.

Peace to you.

Offt, sounds charming to say the least, they must have left those parts out, they only went over for a wedding ring and a romantic weekend all the same.

What happened to the city of lights ffs?

When I went there in the 90s it was not like that at all.

Again I just went around it in the 90s, so I canny really comment on the ambiance or state of the place much, looked nice from a distance.

Disgust is one thing through, racially motivated mass murder of innocent people quite the other.

Im not quite sure what that means.

Same to you chris_stibrany and a merry Christmas when it materializes.

What are they protesting? Seems like the cops did their job to stop some nut case.

They were protesting against the interior minister and the fact that the man was allowed to commit another crime.

There are some rough parts of Paris that are the majority immigrants. Our AirBnB was in one section and 4 of them thought they could roll me on the subway. Not sure why they thought they could I'm 6'5" 280 pound American and once they heard my speech they left me alone.

I've been to France a few times, North and South.

Armed police were a common sight in Metropolitan areas, even in the 90's. They carried Mp5's back then.

I wouldn't be surprised if they carry something heavier these days given the relatively recent terrorist attacks.

I won't visit France again.

Anytime i ever went to the likes of Spain from the beginning of the 80s there were Police officers standing about the airports/ferry ports or patrolling armed with what looked like carbines so I don't imagine France to be much different.

A load of nations in Europe field armed police and they don't feck around nether.

Do you not reckon French jails can be as radical as British jails?

Woke culture plays a role since the world is rather contrarian these days. It's why some might find sympathies with a French national killing Muslims.

Or to put it simply...

If someone has a head full of negative s###e and finds themselves surrounded by other extremists. The colour and beliefs shouldn't matter too much to the general public, what matters is what they're capable of and how they are incarcerated and/or treated.

I can imagine France has a burdened prison system just like most modern nations. Radicalisation doesn't happen in a vacuum and frankly it's not like we haven't seen wars of culture or ideology for say the last 20 years... At least.

Woke culture probably encompasses too much as a word, culture and ideology plays roles in prisons here though. Tie in overburdened systems and the fact many criminals learn more on the inside?

Ive not been in one in a very long time RAY1990 but my experience or assessment there was they were choked full to the brim with a lot of people who should have been receiving mental health care as opposed to incarceration.

You don't feck around or you are apt to get smashed or stabbed put it that way.

Full of bullies and people that enjoy pain both mental and physical for the most part.

As to what French jails are like, I honestly have no idea, barbaric and draconian would be my bet aka nothing good.

Our respective prison systems aside, hopefully, the hole they fling that racist murdering clown down don't have any bottom, as he deserves what he has coming by my guesstimation.
