I'm at wits end in finding what this song is

I was asked about this song a week ago and I honestly cannot remember what it's called.

The group is in the desert at a crossroads, maybe not desert, maybe Nebraska.

One part of the video he's either remembering his GF or his future mate on a pier. The lead singer is blond hair and the song is the typical love song.

Released about 10-12 years ago. My youtube history from that time is "the calling - where ever you go" and "simple plan - perfect".

No, the song was literally filmed with a drone or something in an intersection. In a desert or in the middle of nowhere in cornfields.

I do not, everytime I recall that period I get other bands. It was most likely a one hit wonder, probably not even that.

I think the lyrics where about missing the opportunity, to mee the girl. When he was on the peir he noticed her but didn't say anything. I'm still searching.....

Great Aussie band, one of my favourites and definitely not one-hit wonders.
Since lead singer Shim was fired though, they have not released anything worthwhile, and his solo career took a hit.
