our main problem getting through this winter unscathed is our political and media class

Our main problem is believing we are to be "scathed" this winter at all, or at any time for that matter.

it's just life. The only difference is how fast we learn about it and how many opinions, and agendas we have to listen to.

to get back on the topic at hand, yes I could easily see aliens noting that humans are some of the most fearful and paranoid entities ever.

The authors write that such a scenario would be comparable to medieval scholars being handed a textbook on nuclear weapon design — which would be useless in the absence of an understanding of nuclear physics.

BUT...it would not be useless in understanding a whole new world of science never imagined before that now leads to something incredible.

Massive!

I think also the person who would be handing it to them would be percieved as an Alien more than a Person though and perhaps a threat.

It's like being given the invention for Transparent Aluminium openly instead of covertly.

Question...Why did the aluminium in the Star Trek movie need to be transparent?

Answer... It didn't, (but people like aquariums don't they?)

One of the scenarios outlined sees nations aim to gain a communication and information monopoly with any alien intelligence. This would almost certainly lead to international conflict with other nations fearing those in contact with the extraterrestrials could then gain and harness alien technology to subjugate other nations.

My take on this is that a peaceful, advanced alien race would have studied us before making contact and be aware of the 'biblical' implications of favoring one over the other would create massive conflict.

Humans are divided an in competition with each other.

I suspect the article is punting the One World Government by leading the reader to arrive at that conclusion for himself which oddly hasn't happened so far on this thread.

Humans are too agenda driven and motivated by dark money interest groups to select a competent and well intended group to represent us in contact.

Our leaders can only fail us as they do everyday on the most basic of policies.

ETA: Scientists themselves aren't really much better seeing how they jump on grants for useless studies and their track record with the China virus and subsequent vaccines.

When we learn to think of our world as a society instead of a collection of tribes destined to assert ourselves as the dominant cultural influence, we will have taken the first step toward a federation consultation. Until then we have no hope except what we make by our isolated and primitive terrestrial means.

Well that's my theory, that's beyond our capability especially so early in our development. Hell 200 years ago we were still hunting or farming every day just for sustenance, and had to be tribal or you ran the real risk of having your stuff stolen by another tribe.

In other words, you can't finesse this stuff, the world's population will likely need a huge reveal, something, or some event to be converted to this train of thought. Even then there will be holdouts and non-believers.

Hell, I don't know what it would take except perhaps, a repetitious learned behavior. ie we didn't start driving cars till it was shown to be reliable and more efficient and even then they had to be affordable for the masses before it really took off. This "transformation" is obviously more complex

Forget whichever side we fall on the COVID debate, it shows the populace isn't just going to believe and do what the government or authority says just cause they say so.

There are too many Missourians that need to be shown considering our history it's completely understandable.

A refresher……

……”Politics (from Greek: Πολιτικά, politiká, 'affairs of the cities') is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations among individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.”……..

……”Politics makes strange bedfellows is a common phrase used to describe odd or unexpected alliances or agreements caused by a shared political interest.”……

I got to think that Aliens would have their form of politics, but perhaps they are aligned with one or more of earth’s countries form of politics much like their own. The question then is which country(s) politics would they associate the most with?

I would say…..the country(s) that have the most sightings.

There is, however, a group of thinkers that has that covered; all elite and government officials are alien lizards and in cahoots with the Galctic Overlord.

Now doesn't the alphabet agencies and governments try at every opportunity to slip agents and spys into foriegn governments? That is normal and acceptable behaviour apparently. Even good behaviour depending on who you talk to.

So our lizard folks are just behaving like normal power hungry humans do.

So to make the lizards "evil" and doing unacceptable things, we say they must have an evil overlord. Of course we have to say we have a nice overlord so we are the good guys.

Then….according to my theory ….. Aliens political systems are most likely aligned with the U.S.A.’s ….. Reptilicans and Demoncrats!!

That can’t be good 😳

Until the propaganda stops, until we don't have to eat bugs, until they won't use digital currency to enslave us, until they don't create viruses in a lab to kill us and profit from selling us mandatory vaccines that harm us,until they stop creating wars that brings us closer to armageddon, until they stop foisting paedos on our children and teach hatred like CRT they can shove it up their ass until it bleeds.

Maybe the alien lifeforms we encounter will find politicans a delicacy?

This would solve a lot of problems.

If even some of the stories are credible, at least some of them don't sound benevolent at all. Wasn't it Travis Walton that said he was kept in a room that had piles of used human clothing for instance

I haven't read many accounts so not sure either, I kinda don't need to read other people's ; )

I'l draw an analogy though.

We don't let elementary school kids have school excursions at biological reserch facilities and hospitals for a very good reason.

I also have a tentative theory that in order to endure some encounters, there is an element of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) involved.

Not that the abductee has original psychologically problems, rather a DID alter is created through induced trauma. It is then the alter that primarily interacts with the "alien" or whatever.

We don't have to go down the MK* route when considering induced DID and constructed alters as a psychological tool. DID could be a practical way of controling what is remembered of the encounter for example. Alters can be programmed for safety reasons too.

I guess we want to think in terms of benevolent and malevolent - good and evil. Personally I doubt "they" are either.

Interesting thoughts,

Obviously, I don't know anything, just theorizing what if, but sounds like you have had encounter(s) if my deductive powers are working correctly.

Do you have a thread or post on these here on ATS?

I have encounters with a yellow grey occassionally. It arrived with all the fan fare of the mountaintop scene from the movie Close Encounters. Too close to the movie, suspiciously like it knew I had seen the movie (I have) and used that memory. (strike one) Though I doubt anyone else saw the scene if they were watching.

I was putting out the rubbish bin at the time, one night a few years ago.

It floated in front of me and announced: "We are all one". (strike two)
Me: "yeah right".
It moves in too close to my face and tries the scene out of the move The Abyss where they guy is loosing consciousness and the alien looks into his eyes. (strike three)

I think it was then it tried a mesmerism trick with it's eyes. (strike four)

It: "We are interested in your research" and it projects a few thoughts.
It is obvious it only knows what I have written here on ATS. (strike five)
Me: F$#% OFF! and I go inside to watch stupid TV to forget it.

Five strikes is well and truely out.

It came back some time later after doing it's homework. It had the memories of a human girl of about nine or ten years and behaved bold as brass. "They" knew I can't hurt kids, and especially girls. I grew up in the 1960s and hurting girls is shameful. Little yellow grey thought she outsmarted me.

So she hung about for a few months and would talk to me when I smoked on the front veranda with coffee. Since it had the memories of a human child, "it" became a "her", so a girl yellow grey. Slender and about four feet tall, bright yellow, no boobs and I didn't look for the other bits. Like a flat chested Barbie doll. Oh and no clothes. Kinda cute really, especially when she turned on the little girl charm.

Anyways, one day she lent across the table and announced she wanted to take off the top of my head and play with what's inside. So I adopted her as my granddaughter. That introduced a defined relationship, and granddaughters don't play with what's inside gradpa's head. So I named her Wednesday Addams as in the TV series The Addams Family. The daughter, Wednesday, had a headless Marie Antoinette doll. (Establishing a defined relationship is, I think anyway, the most important part of ongoing encounters.)

We would play house. She played the precocious granddaughter who would wrap grandpa around her little finger and me happily playing the doting grandfather.

One day Wednesday contrived to kiss me on the cheek as a reward, and hit an invisible boundary about twelve, eighteen inches from my face. Interestingly my sight of the veranda and went fish eye lens effect when she hit the boundary.

Wednesday looked surprised. After that she played the game a little more openly and seriously.

Turns out she wanted a sample, a taste, of me. Wednesday's tongue is round like a cockatoo's. Not for the articulation of sound in the air, thus the telepathy. Her gastro system stopped at her stomach, no intestine, no bowels. Turns out she is an expert in biology and could take an organic sample and analyse it, disassemble and reassemble into designer proteins in her stomach and spit it up into your hands. A little bio-engineer.

I learned a lot about what Wednesday did, and this was pre-covid. She was interested in that eventually. In the meantime I noticed a lonelyness in her. It turns out the memory of the human girl is something she experienced as if her own personal memories. That human girl had an older brother, and she missed him terribly.

So I got an idea. We tracked his history down and found the two siblings had been dead for well over a hundred years. Long story short; we installed the boy's memories in a blank yellow grey.

A gift for her; an older brother. A gift for him; a little sister.

They had a reunion that was really heart-warming to see. What they can do with memories is amazing, yet oddly enough exploring relationships in this fashion is something they never considered before. They don't seem to think so, but I think there is great potential for education here.

At one time, Wednesday offered to show me what they did to me years ago when I was about five years old. My fondness for Wednesday decided that I didn't want to know because that might sour the relationship.

What happened at five years of age, was I woke up in the night with my bed a meter (yard) off the floor and being tossed like a pancake. When terrified and screeming a swirl of white stars opened to the left and the bed upended me into it. That was the last I remember.

Wednesday did show me a memory of mine where a grey grey looked me in the eyes and said "You will not remember what happens next." Wednesday was there by the way, so my adopted granddaughter is older than me.

I asked Wedneday why it was neccessary to traumatize, and she simply stated it was kinder that way.

My suspicions concerning DID and alters grew out of that. Wednesday doesn't offer any information on their techniques, but does confirm if I am on the right track occassionally.

That's my encounters with yellow greys.

---------------

ETA:

Do you have a thread or post on these here on ATS?

I mention Wednesday occassionally if in context. But you're probably the first to ask directly about that : )

I did write a thread called The Secret Life Of Fairies. I enjoyed writing about things not even my family knows about.

I went into details about how, for instance; in the old days, the fae could create the human double from the menses of virgin girls. The same for all mammals really. So by achieving this, a Fairy can shapeshift into any form provided she has gained the memories of living as the animal. That is including humans.

I haven't seen the process in anything other than mammals, so don't know how the they achieve it with insects.

Oh and the yellow greys that visited are avatars. One shouldn't generalise and say ALL greys are avatars. I don't know that. One day I held Wednesday like a child and looked into those lightless eyes and saw what is within. The eyes are lightless because the avatar has no real life of it's own, no "inner spiritual light" as we do. What is inside is another matter entirely.

Better that we find alien life before it finds us i suppose.
