Where there is good , there is bad.
I don't like this idea at all. Not sure how it will work out for the Japanese that get paid in yen overseas though.
The Japanese government is preparing to introduce a system for companies to pay salaries digitally – without going through bank accounts – by spring 2023.
To have the govt. control your paycheck is NO GOOD.

Direct Deposit in US. Haven't seen a paper ck or paystub in maybe 10-12 yrs.

Social Sec too. Direct to bank. Never saw a ck.

In Japan, foreigners have a very difficult time getting a bank account if they are not permanent residents and credit cards.

Thanks. Mostly the southern part of Japan got hit hard. The typhoon ended up going toward the Pacific Ocean, but strong and heavy winds did a lot of damage . Thanks for your concern.

I started my tour in April and ended in August 20th. Next year, Hokkaido and hopefully Okinawa again. Thanks.
