These are 10,000 sq ft bunkers for the most powerful peeps on earth.

BUT, what are they gonna do after the smoke clears??? Them fools couldn't hang a picture, or fill up their own cars with gas. And whats gold gonna get ya? You think the super rich could grow a mess of beans for dinner? Or make some shine?

Hell no,

I would say the military personnel allowed into DUMB's would become the next slaves to the 1% that are allowed to survive.

I wonder how long the air scrubbers work when the exhaust for the diesel generators is blocked?

If I had the money I'd buy one of the old minutemen silos. Big enough for a community, but I'd do some weird ass airBnB stuff while waiting for the end of the world.

I worked Minuteman II in Malmstrom AFB Montana. They are not as big as you think. Just deep....and round.

What would really happen after a year or two an ambitious type in the security of the shelter would pull off a coup and either exile or kill off the "Masters of the Universe" and their less desirable family members while making themselves king of the shelter. Rinse and repeat over the next hundred years or so until a central government reorganizes.

We have a contractor working on our house right now for bathroom remodel, and he was just telling us how most recently a significant number of his wealthy clients have been building "bunkers" or "safehouses" that are completely off-grid/self-sustaining, with beefed up security measures etc. He said one of the "gatekeepers' houses for the compound was a single-bedroom home but outfitted with all the bells and whistles, with a total price tag estimate of just under $10M (for a single-bedroom! idk what else was in the gatekeepers' house or square footage but it's bonkers either way).

This is in New England, USA

You can get a bunker for far less; that being said, the creature comforts I'm seeing here are excellent but unnecessary. You can get a 400 sqft one with all the needs you'd have for about 160k installed.

Yeah, a bunch of out of touch tone deaf idiots. They have so much money, they are completely deluded to the real world or what will happen when the # hits the fan.

Yes. I want.

Will a kind ATS Billionaire build me one?

I am not greedy, a concrete Atlas Survival Shelter for just a few hundred K will do.

From 2017:

How Silicon Valley's Super Rich Are Getting Ready for 'Doomsday'

Former leaders at Facebook and Reddit are among some of the country's wealthiest who view the apocalypse as a mathematical probability--and are prepping for the worst.

Steve Huffman, the co-founder and CEO of Reddit, didn't get laser eye surgery just for the convenience--he got it to increase his chances of surviving the apocalypse.

I wish I would have put a concrete cap on my basement walls and had twelve inch concrete walls instead of eight inch block when I built this house. A built in finished basement bunker all decked out with a kitchen and accessory kickout containing a generator would have been nice. We could have stored our valuables there, so if there was risk of a forest fire, nothing would have got hurt. The house could burn down and bugging out would not put our stuff at risk so much, we wouldn't have to haul out a pickup load of stuff if there was a forest fire coming our way.

If SHTF i will go and search for such safe houses and bunkers with money bags in it. Then cut the inmates in there off of their supply line from outsides and tell them to leave and keeping at least their lives or to die in there. xD
How can one of these money bags feel safe in such a bunker, a safe house or an own island with private army?

If SHTF and i would be a mercenary working for such a money bag, i would take over the bunker or island with my team, why should i still listen to anything that money bag tells me? His money is worth nothing anymore anyway if SHTF really hard. These money bags can trust nobody anymore if SHTF and are done with that, no matter if inside one of the luxury bunkers, safe house or on their own island. I can´t see a Gates or Bezos, a Musk or whoever of these money bags, planting, growing and harvesting their own food, all by themselves, no matter how hard i try. They are dependent on the help of others, from outside of their "safe place", help of people they can trust to 100%. Reality doesn´t look too good for you, dear money bags in your luxury "safe" spaces.

Sooner or later "the guillotines" will reach them anyway, ask the french nobility at the time of the french peoples revolution!

Your envy causes you to underestimate their greed.

Take Bezos, Musk and Gates as an example. Multi billionaires that built their empires. Men like them are always going to have a plan.

Grow lights for underground farming. Micro-biomes. Self sustaining ecosystems. Water filtration systems. Air filtration systems. Security systems. Backup generators. Backups for their backups. Decades to generations worth of resources and supplies.

Harems. Specialists. Personal armies with explosive chip implants to dissuade mutiny. Drones. Robot dogs. Arsenals of assault weapons. Survivors wouldn't even make it to the butler's front door, let alone hoping to take down the head honcho.

These men have already conquered the art of more. The natural second step would involve making sure they damn well keep it.

Fascinating seeing how many here believe that the mega rich are orchestrating major world events but haven't thought out the best long term bunker plan.

Envy? More like reality. And once the social heirarchy fails, peeps go feral REAL fast. After all, whats riches worth when you aint got nuthin to eat. And those bunkers arent big enough to support your proposed scenario.
