I just want my stories to be accurate.. like if they make Vikings Africian.. that is 10000% inaccurate. As Africian's would of never survived in the
northern climates as it is scientifically proven that the further away from the equator you are the lighter your skin becomes because lighter skin
absorbs more sunlight: Which allow's caucasions to thrive in area's that are colder, just like darker pigmentation absorbs less sunlight.. Which
allow's them to thrive in area's with higher tempatures.
Livescience: 75% of all African American's Lack Vitamin D, explains increase in
cancer and death rates.
African American's at greater risk:
For African-Americans, that number may be nearly double at 76% according to a new study by The Cooper Institute. Previous studies have shown that
African-American adults have higher rates of vitamin D deficiency and obesity, as well as lower levels of cardiorespiratory fitness when compared with
other groups.
But I will just be called a racist for speaking fact.
Health problem's occur when you relocate, and don't account for those things that are ment to keep you healthy: AKA ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS. In fact it
is an epidemic.
So with that said, it's not so much 'fantasy based' skin tone that I care for, it is accuracy. I think when you have a Theme like Vikings: It should
be as accurate as possible. Even thing's like Dracula, there's nothing like diving in and getting that feel when they show you Romania, with romanian
voices - thick yet punctual, and even in their own languages at times. There's not Africian's there either, so turning an entire dracula series
african just break's that connectivity to the story for me.
Like I was watching 911 - and yes I love that entire story with the wife with two kids and a gay husband. That to me is fine, its 100% part of the
show, part of the story. But to sit there and watch an anime go from 'female hero' with a love interest with nonstop flirting for 10seasons, who
season 10 episode 5 turn's around and say's 'i'm gay, sorry girl'. Or to turn on an episode where a couple was getting closer to hooking up, to
randomly have the next season start off with 2 gay men standing at the door, one of them not even a main character a fricken gardener in a corner 'We
GOT MARRIED" it just ruins everything - Lock & Key, couldn't even continue the next season when they turned around and the mom's love interest(main)
married the gardener who's mainly a subpar character just to fit in.
Either way, i'm done with Hollywood and their bull#. I cancelled all my subscriptions because of the 'me too' movement in TV, to the point Y ratings
is having gay sex pushed in them.
If you want to create a 'Dracula' style horror in Africa i'm all for it, make the storyline juicy. If you want to make a 'viking' style show in
Africa, use the Somolian Pirates. But at LEAST original and don't call them 'vikings' because they weren't. They are known as PIRATES (with that said
I wouldn't mind if they added African's to Pirates of the Carribean - but don't replace the character's that are there because we are way to far into
the series so it is better make a few more which can easily be introduced: even if you kill off some of the older characters), and last but not least
don't replace character's just because you want to multi-culture your tv show not only does it ruin ALL the previous storyline that has been done it's
just in straight up bad taste..
I think one of the worst cases i've ever seen was in slider's when they replaced the MAIN actor with another because he went to go do 'kangaroo
jack'(wasn't even a color difference). Fricken loved that show, and it took me 15year's to even finish it once they got rid of the main guy who
created the entire reason for the show in the first place. The original guy to develope a wormhole machine, magically everyone else was up to date on
the science. Despite the fact it was kept as a secret from everyone.
The other one that bothered me was when they replaced Vivian in Fresh Prince, I LOVED the original Vivian. It wasn't as bad, Will Smith just turned it
into a joke, and she was only there for a handful of episodes. But it still bothered me a lot, replacing character's unless the actor literally dies
is usually in bad taste.
Charmed was another, they killed off a main character.. (sure good for story, actor was a 'bish'), but I will clearly state when Shannon Doherty Died,
I hated her replacement for years, I stopped watching it all together at season 5. Took year's to go back and rewatch it, but I still prefer the
first 3 seasons over the last 7.
There's a lot of people who think like me on this, so if they want to swap their character's. Let them, all that will happen is they will lose
viewers, those viewers will be their most loyal viewers as well. Anyone else that watches is going to tune in when there's nothing else to watch on
tv. So, if you wind up in that hole.. You're a crap writer and should think about a career change.edit on 15-7-2022 by BlackArrow because:
