1st off, I walk in the Light of God as a Christian.

If you believe in abortion you do not walk "the Light of God as a Christian." You even misused a parable from the bible you obviously either didn't know, or don't understand.

I'm lifelong in medicine.

What in the world does that mean?... I have never heard a nurse, or anyone that works in healthcare make such a comment... "I'm lifelong in medicine"? What in the world does that even mean?

I support life. Of course. I respect a woman governing her own life. Of course too.

You can't support life and believe an unborn baby is part of a woman's body which she can do whatever she wants with. Unborn babies are not part of a woman's body. They have their own unique DNA, their own organs, their own skin, their own life. A pregnant woman and her baby are two separate human beings.

A man...Solomon...decides the babys fate...instead of 2 woman.

Metaphorically ..I hit that spot on

I saw this post its a bit perplexing. Please feel free to post legitimate counter points to this:

Why are Republicans (or anyone for that matter) pro-life?

Politically, don’t Republicans like less government? Taking away women’s right to choose is like government intruding on human rights which is borderline socialistic/communistic. It seems like something Democrats would want more. If its to get more votes, the pro-lifers are probably gonna vote Republican no matter what, and given that most people are pro-choice it could actually work against Republicans to enforce pro-life policies.

Financially, don’t Republicans like less taxes? If state governments could really force women to have their unwanted babies, most of them would probably end up in the system costing tax payers more money. Again, this seems more like Democratic behavior. Not to mention, the states that are banning abortion are losing out on significant taxes from the abortion clinics closing, etc. many of which will move to blue states. This seems like something that would really piss off Republicans fiscally.

Religiously, aren’t most pro-lifers Christians/Catholics who believe in heaven/hell? Most religious experts agree that the souls of unborn fetuses go to purgatory or heaven due to God’s mercy and love. There are certainly no serious religious experts who believe that innocent unborn babies who have not sinned go to hell.

So what happens to a soul, from a Christian/Catholic point of view, when a person is born? That soul now has the option of going to heaven or hell, right? So by forcing women to have unwanted babies, pro-lifers are essentially increasing the chances for souls to go to hell, right? Wouldn’t the devil really like this policy because it gives him the chance to get more souls to hell? So are pro-lifers actually doing the work of the devil??????

Christians/Catholics will say that the bible is very clear that “Thou shall not kill”, so abortion is wrong. So are pro-lifers concerned with the souls of the mothers who are having the abortions? Do they really think that forcing women to have unwanted babies is going to keep them from going to hell when there are so many other ways to go to hell? Doesn’t it make way more sense to let women make the choice to commit murder or not and let God deal with them and decide whether or not they are going to heaven? If God holds us accountable for each other’s sins with no option for forgiveness, then literally no one on Earth is going to heaven.

Can you see there is really no good reason to take away personal choice from women?

It doesn’t make sense politically, economically, or even religiously.

You did not. Your argument was to claim that parable somehow proved that God is in favor of abortions, and that's false. King Solomon wasn't going to murder the baby, and in this case we are talking about a baby that was already born and not about an unborn baby...

You took the parable completely out of context.

Thank you for agreeing! Ive said for us in the States, the issue is one way: outside this country, another.

So when anyone says "Those democrats want....or those Republicans can...." Man! Its so simple...its silly.

The issue isnt political. Not at all. Nor Democrat or Republican.....Go over the Canadian boarder 5 miles from here and say..."Those Dem....or anyone." Theyll look at you like....??????? They have their ways over there and would laugh.

Well...I hope you get my drift.

I used the example as a Metaphor I thought you'd get. Perhaps later I can think of a theologically pertinent one broken down for you. Lots of lessons in that Bible.

God bless

Control - They are trying to control us in every single way they can, however in just this issue, women are not going to listen, they are going to do as they please.
How dare anyone tell women what to do or not to do with their own bodies?
Are we going backwards now??
