Why Russians do not believe the propaganda that China wants to take over Siberia

Yesterday I posted the thread "The real attitude of Russians towards Western countries" in which I wrote that Russians do not believe Western propaganda that is trying to push Russia against China. Unfortunately, none of the commentators wrote a single comment on this topic. It is all the more strange that I constantly come across comments on the forum under my threads, where forum users are trying to convince me that Russia's main enemy is China. I will try to break this illusion.

The well-known Russian sinologist, who has lived in China for many many years, Vadim Chekunov, explains in his article why the Chinese do not at all seek to seize Siberia, but, on the contrary, support Russia in every possible way in repelling Western aggression, love our President Vladimir Putin and admire the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

Criticism of Russia is not allowed in any of the media, even the word "war" is not used, instead of it the stylistically neutral expression "fighting" is used. Rare pro-Ukrainian statements in the Chinese segment of the Internet are first ridiculed by users, and then completely deleted. Pro-Russian articles and comments, on the contrary, are actively supported.

The censored Chinese Internet would not be full of pictures advertising Russian candies and the caption that every candy bought turns into a bullet flying at Nazism without the highest approval. And there is a lot of such popular marketing and creativity in social networks.

Without unequivocal permission from above and without genuine popular admiration for Putin and Kadyrov, it would be impossible to advertise Russian products in retail chains, where both Russian leaders are affectionately called Xiao Pu and Xiao Ka.

Finally, the very fact that the Chinese began to actively buy up any Russian goods in order to support Russia speaks for itself. It comes to the point that in the Chinese social network Weibo, our businessmen are asking people to slow down the pace of orders - they do not have time to deliver new goods.

By the way, do we know many countries where the heroism of the Soviet people in the Second World War is still sacredly honored? Many countries know where the audience is still crying when they watch our films about the war? Where are “The Dawns Here Are Quiet...” so popular that Central Television even filmed a remake series? Where in the parks do people gather to sing "Moscow Evenings", and at state celebrations our "Katyusha" is performed?

Think what you want. Taiwan is China, the Chinese live there, not the Americans and the British. . The United States and Britain themselves do not officially recognize the independence of Taiwan. Before the Molotov-Rebbentropp Pact, there was the Munich Treaty, as a result of which the West gave Hitler, Poland, Hungary and Austria the sovereign country of Czechoslovakia.

The West is NOT a person, there are interests in the west just as there are in Russia.

Of course Russia has perpetrated any number of proxy wars of it's own, remember your nation sending nuclear missiles to Cuba, now these in the Ukraine being sent by the west are not even nuclear and they are not intended to target Russian city's or civilians they are intended to help a beleaguered nation help itself but there is GROWING sentiment in the west that we need to do something far more solid, if Russia continues to threaten us with Nukes it can expect to be NUKED itself and we may very well end up sending military into the Ukraine (We would NEVER send them into Russia unless Russia fires those Nukes it keeps prattling on about and to be frank we all die so why should we worry about some tin pot cancer riddled dictators half minded threats.

Your generals those not removed by Putin or mysteriously disappeared still know that if they push or if Putin pushes the button they can expect twice or even three times what they send back on there own territory, no if's no but's a moderated nuclear retaliation will occur and it will be aimed first at taking out any further nuclear strike potential that Russia has as well as several other major strategic targets, if Russia then retaliates against the retaliation a full scale exchange will occur and while the US with all it's DUMB's will survive despite vast casualty's Russia will NOT, oh it will still be there but new governments and states will arise with parts of Siberia etc claiming there independence or becoming aligned to China who will be smiling like a fat happy Cheshire cat when it is all over.


We don't want to harm Russians but we will defend ourselves AGAINST Russian aggression and if that mean's war then so be it.

Putin think's he can expand the current Russian borders like the old Soviet's did, he has no intention of stopping at the Ukraine and is likely to try to annex part of Poland next and even to invade the Baltic states which ARE NATO and which will cause genuine nuclear Armageddon, so let's you and me stop playing silly buggers shall we.

I have no idea how old you are but I have had my life, I fear for the Children and it is ultimately for them that we fight, sadly we fight for the same thing but can't see eye to eye because your current leader want's to rebuild an Empire that has had it's day.

Honestly, this sounds like Russia knows after its successes in Ukraine, it would be annihilated by Western militaries in conventional combat. Regardless of the eventual outcome in Ukraine, it's obvious how far the average Russian soldier is behind other countries, now.

We know Ukraine is better most of the west is likely better

Confidently Israel, Saudi Arabia, and India are likely better, hell we know South Korea is LOL probably North Korea too.

Russia definitely needs a conventional protector, well unless they are just gonna rain down nuclear warheads on everybody. That kind of defeats the purpose of saving the world from the drug-addled nazi drag queens, to begin with.

The Empire of Japan was at WAR with the west, the loss of life in those city's and the crime of the dropping of Fat man and little boy is nothing compared to the loss of life that WOULD have occurred had the war continued and it could have dragged on for years, Japan though well behind was also in possession of the jet technology from the Germans and had Nuclear research and possibly material from them as well, they had constructed huge underground airfields and other facility's and were digging in on there home islands were every man and woman was expected to fight against the invaders as they saw the US and western Allies.

Russia whom had been beaten several times by the Japanese especially in Manchuria were a superior Russian force was sent packing by a smaller but determined Japanese force, as a result a non aggression pact was signed and later broken when Stalin saw Japan falter and begin to lose, at that point he launched a Russian version of a blitzkrieg upon the Japanese northern islands intent on trying to claim the victory over Japan before the west or at least get his piece of the pie, the northern islands of Japan which are still littered with the dead Japanese defenders are now claimed by Russia but Japan has NEVER surrendered it's sovereignty over them.

Now don't get me wrong the Japanese during the second world war were as bad as the NAZI's in many respects and arguably the second world war begin with the Japanese invasion of China, they had been in Korea a lot longer though.

The rape of Nanking was a terrible atrocity, how they treated OUR boy's when they were imprisoned is the stuff of nightmares since they had no concept of prisoners of war and at first did not really know what to do with them so used them as slaves, worked them to death and were incredibly cruel to them, but in that respect no different to Soviet Gulag's.


America SAVED Japanese lives by bombing those two city's and as horrible as that sounds it is historically accurate.

Never been a fan of appeasement.
But The Munich Treaty did NOT give Poland to Germany....Poland was the line in the sand.

But what has that got to do with Sino-Russian relations and/or Russia-German relations?

I merely mentioned Russia's history and friendship with tyrannical regimes in the past to draw a possible comparison with China today - Russia has history of trying to cosy up to its neighbours who for some reason turn on them.

Do not discount the possibility of history repeating itself.

I do quite often disagree with things the British government says and does.
They've made some appalling foreign policy decisions in the past, I don't think anyone can deny that.

Taiwan hell, If China wanted Taiwan they would take it, but that could lead to Biden's ouster and he as the American President is too important for China in the short term.

Ukraine is the land of Russians, not Americans, British, French, Spaniards, and even more so Poles and Germans.

Borrell and Stoltenberg whine that the West is already running out of arms and ammunition. And you are going to fight with Russia? All of you are fighting NATO with Russia in Ukraine and are defeated. What will happen when the Russians reach the border with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania? Just payback.
