the problem is that replacement of power production these days will also just make it so expensive no one below the top 5% can afford it. because any replacement will have to be so called green energy production, which is more expensive to produce. this is why electricity prices skyrocketed in Ontario years ago when the liberals sunk billions of dollars into green energy production.

You reused my statement, but I agree. We can not force the change to happen as it needs to come naturally as in efficiency, cost, availability etc. Once the next thing is better than what we have now, the change automatically happens. It took 30 years to see the car replace the horse on a larger scale. What would have happen if they shot all the horses 20 years before the car really took off as the primary transportation tool? We are just now seeing it happen with the electric car. The cost is coming down, the recharge is quicker, they are faster than the gas car, and range keeps getting better, but we still have a good way to go with availability, get still cheaper, range, and availability of recharging.

Why not hook up a big hamster wheel, big enough for a human to run on, onto a generator. Set thousands of these up at the Mexican border and have all the illegals produce a certain amount of kilowatts before they can enter the U.S. for processing.

Then take the best energy producers and put them in a bigger hamster wheel at a bigger energy plant where the energy is needed. Deport the rest who can't run the big wheel. Two problems solved, abundant "green" energy and an influx of healthy, productive immigrants on the "fast track" to citizenship, while screening out and discouraging non-producing illegals.

Why not make the big wheel like a he-man marathon race, no rules except who can out last the rest without falling off, getting trampled, or just dying from exhaustion. It could be live on the networks with gambling allowed.

Wait, let's put the politicians on the hamster wheel too.
