Y'all should pay very close attention to ALL the politicians that have visited Taiwan and/or have been very vocal about a Chinese takeover of Taiwan. They are NOT trying to stop a war, but instead are desperately trying to start a China Taiwan war. These politicians are losing millions and possibly billions of laundered dollars each week there is a war happening in Ukraine. They are desperate to get the attention off Ukraine which in turn will get the attention off of them.

Ukraine should fall and fall hard. When it does, Washington DC will fall with it...

God may smile upon us again after that.

I wonder how many here would be in favor the idea of independent state of Texas or California?

Exactly, just like Texas can't leave America, Donbas can't leave Ukraine. Just like half of Russia can't decide to leave tomorrow.

Another question you won't answer, here goes though! If Half of Russia left and Putin used force to take them back can the US send in forces to stop Putin? Would you say America needs to do it?

You mean the one that said any power delegated to the federal government the states have to follow what the federal government says because they do not have independence, but they do have their own rights and powers?

Your estimation is wrong, that's not what they want. For lots of reasons, the main one being the 10th Amendment does not apply to them, but mostly because they want to cede from Ukraine and become an independent country, you know, not like what Texas is today but what the states who ceded from the Union wanted.

Last I checked, when certain states decided they no longer were part of the US a war resolved it, and they were wrong, that's what Ukraine is doing.

Is it your claim that if parts of Russia said they want to be independent the hero of humanity Putin would grant them that request, you know, since he seems to think Donbas deserved it by virtue of it being what they want?

Just to clarify:

States should not be allowed to leave the United States.

Regions of Ukraine should allowed to leave Ukraine.

So, Taiwan should not be allowed to leave China? As I recall, China considers Taiwan to be a rogue province.

Not taking anyone's side, here, just wondering what the standards are. It would be interesting to see them applied to the Israel/Palestine quagmire.
