Eh. That was my first thought, but with his intentions being to defect from the beginning, I’m not sure it would count… unless your a Russian then yes I guess he’d be the villain.

You maybe want to change Red Dawn 2012 (north koreans are the invaders here) to Red Dawn 1984.

The 2012 remake of Red Dawn, starring Chris Hemsworth, used North Korea in the role of the occupying force.

It is actually the original 1984 version of the film, starring Patrick Swayze and Powers Boothe, that depicts the Russians along with the Cubans as the occupying force.


Just thought I'd clear that up, as the original is one of my favorites me being a huge Powers Boothe fan.
