I actually thought it was closer to the year you mentioned since I remember all the threads. But when I looked up I saw his last visit was in 2008.

You were a huge influence on my love for UFO and alien lore.
I will always remember your moon pics and the enthusiasm you had in revealing them to everyone.
I shot some video (on a very poor-quality camera) of John Lear at the San Jose UFO Conference where he explains how he came across these huge
negatives from NASA and how they ended up at ATS. Further on in the presentation he covers the areas of what he believes is some type of structure
and bases on the moon.
John was never for a lack of words and was never... and I mean never, never boring. Oh yeau, he had a disdain for Kenny G music like no one I've ever
met. He has an explanation on how he makes music which is hilarious (around the 7:30 second mark on the interview link below).
