A 2019 archeological site in Mexico has has revealed the following:

A newly discovered trove of Aztec sacrifices could lead archaeologists to an elusive Aztec emperor's tomb. Such a discovery would mark a first since no Aztec royal burial has yet been found despite decades of digging. The sacrificial offerings, including a richly adorned jaguar dressed as a warrior, were found in Mexico City, Reuters reports.

When was indigenous copal allowed in the Catholic Church in Central America?

As an incense, obviously.

You know for me, in Cape Town, to smell copal is always special.

And to think, the church banned it and imported Frankincense instead.

Really, the Planet seems to be doing quite the opposite, and a good job of it, too. It took long, intensive exploration and archeological research to find this. It certainly wasn't just offered up by the jungle as a sudden gift.
