Well now at least I know you approved of the jihadist attacks on US forces in Iraq after the US invasion. Good to know where you stand.

Don't put words in my mouth.

Answer this question.
If Putin brought his army into your country, callously running your neighbors over with tanks and slaughtering your people in an attempt to impose his iron dictatorship upon you and your countrymen, would you take up arms and fight or lay down and submit to his authority over you?

You see it's kind of odd to me that I have asked several people in this thread the same question which has two choices and no one that I asked could answer a simple question.

I ask everyone reading this thread...

It's very simple. Given only the same two choices that the Ukrainian people have, would you take up arms and fight for your freedom or would you submit to the authority of your new dictator Putin?

You mean like how Kiev was cutting off food to Crimea?

You mean like how Putin took Crimea by force from Ukraine?

It's no surprise this would be one of their prime targets.

I hope Ukraine makes Russia bleed enough that they won't think twice about returning. Russia's prospects for a prosperous country are looking grim and for good reason.

If Putin brought his army into your country, callously running your neighbors over with tanks and slaughtering your people in an attempt to impose his iron dictatorship upon you and your countrymen, would you take up arms and fight or lay down and submit to his authority over you?

Anyone dumb enough to stand in front of a tank during an ongoing war should be run over so they can't produce any more kids.

I wouldn't be dumb enough to stand in front of a tank.

Put it this way, the way things are going in this country where so much deceit is spread and accepted, I have been thinking I should move to somewhere like Yap. I used to be proud of this country, now it has turned into a reality far from real.

I am sixty six, I am not going to start shooting people anymore, let the young go out and do that, I will make them coffee and soup and homemade bread so they have something to eat.

I have seen no images of Ukranian civilians being run over by a tank. I saw a tank hesitate to continue it's path while a civilian impeded it's path. Do you have some verification of the individual or individuals in question becoming a pancake like tianem man??

Would have ended up on those murder voyeur sites by now, but i have only seen bodies shot up and blown apart, not squished by tanks.

This war has garnered the same reaction from the domestic population that Iraq did when George Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq with the United States armed forces. Or Vietnam with LBJ. Or Syria in response to Turkish Invasion. Or what happens everytime Israel makes a ground op into Lebanon or Gaza strip.

If Europe is as invested in this operation as much as you are emotionally, that's a European problem to deal with. America should stay out of it. My taxes aren't paying for those bombs like in Iraq or what is left of Palestine. So I'm not invested one way or another outside of documenting the raw events for historical and research purposes.

It's not like I am asking Ukraine to stop fighting. By all means, folks should defend their lands. If i had a vote though, my vote is let Ukraine and Europe deal with it without my tax dollars.

You keep saying that you wouldn't be dumb enough to stand in front of a tank as if that is what I proposed. If you read what I said you would see that I said take up arms. I never said anything about standing in front of a tank.

Oh that was a nasty traffic accident. The driver survived actually. The vehicle is allegedly Ukrainian, but non confirmation of whi drove it as it was said Russian troops stole it. cleared up in comment below.

Further explanation in the comments section of the video you posted.

its a Ukranian light armored MT-LB, Strela-10, called SA-13B Gopher. the dark huge truck you can see on the other side of the road is a stolen Ural with a mounted ZU-23-2 on it, which is controlled by a Russian saboteur commando unit, wearing Ukranian uniforms. The two units engaged with each other, and the result of this short lived fight is the Ukranian MT-LB steering into the civilian, eventually crushing his car. There are 9 videos of this incident showing exactly what happened. He survived though. In my personal opinion the person in the car had ZERO situational awareness and couldve avoided this crash, as he shows literally zero signs of reaction (braking or steering off). I already see people going mad about me saying "he couldve avoided the crash". I'm not saying its his fault, but he kept on driving even though it was very obvious the armored vehicle would hit him. Unlucky. Stop commenting on things you did a) not investigate and b) you dont have a clue about. Thanks. The MT-LB platform is approximately 60 years old, and tends to oversteer and drivers often lose control with it. It's not a CAR with 4 wheels and a steering axis. It's a tracked, armored vehicle weighing more than 1.5 tons. Stop spreading or reacting to fake information, because spreading hate between the engaging parties will lead to actual warcrimes happening. Thanks! sidenote: The video was captured on 25th of february 2022, and being uploaded for the first time ever on twitter around 11 AM Ukranian time. At that time the Russian forces haven't even entered Kyiv yet. Russian vehicles operating in the Ukraine are marked with white "Z"s on all sides

That's why I did not find it on documenting reality, the driver survived after being crushed by Ukrainian forces! Well dang...

A d for the record, i thought you were originally talking about this video

Your probably not getting an answer because your question is loaded.

By naming an aggressor you are emotionally loading your rather black and white question. Effectively setting up a peep who answers as either supporting your emotional knee jerk or condemning themselves in your eyes as on Putin’s ‘side’

There are alternatives to your solutions.

Either rephrase your query or open a little leeway to receive a more reasoned, less specific answer.

If you want any form of meaningful response that is.

The Ukranian apologists here are astounding. Crimea has hardly any fresh water or ability to produce it at all. Ukraine cut it off so as to destabilize the country (destabilization is a favorite of western countries nowadays if you haven’t noticed). Crimea is Russia’s only access to a warm water port as well.

Ukraine has been Russia for a much longer time than not. Ukraine is the last line of defense before the great Russian plains that invaders could easily walk straight into Moscow from. Ukraine has vast natural gas supplies that Uncle Joe and the rest of the west want to get a piece of, much like that mid-east oil (sound familiar again?). Russia is just acting in it’s best interests much like each and every one of you warmongering, paid propagandists here would.

Is this false?

North Crimean Canal: Why So Important?

Crimea is surrounded by water but lacks water resources. There is a sufficient amount of drinking water in rivers and underground basins, but almost no water for agriculture and industry. Completed in 1975, the North Crimean Canal brought water from the river Dnipro in Ukraine to the Northern arid areas of the Peninsula. This enabled rapid development of agriculture and industry. At that, the Canal with all its facilities was owned and operated by the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine, which is an agency of the central government.

Russia took control of Crimea in February 2014. According to Ukrainian officials, the facilities of the Canal in Crimea were seized by the new de facto authorities in March 2014, who drove away the Ukrainian personnel. In the absence of maintenance on the Russian-controlled side, water could not reach the consumers. According to the Ukrainian Water Resource Agency, the Russian de facto authorities refused to pay for water delivery, accumulating a huge debt. Under such conditions, Ukraine blocked off the canal.

Either way, we have Putin the iron fisted dictator in there killing Ukrainians and taking over their country by force and without provocation. My question to everyone still stands.

LoL I'm not emotional about this, I'm being logical. It's a very simple question. If Putin invaded YOUR country would you fight back or submit to Putins rule. Explain what is loaded about this lmao.

The people in Ukraine are putting up a very good fight so that says a lot about the will of the citizens of Ukraine not wanting to be under the communist dictatorship rule of Putin. I don't blame them. I would be doing the same.

Many countries have been part of the old communist Soviet Union. Do you want them to all go back to that? Putin does, he wants the Soviet Union to return. You are saying that Ukraine should help Putin by giving up their country to him?

Oh I answered your question quite well. Do you walk back your claim of Russians running over civilians with their tanks, as that incident was Ukrainian?? Everyone has a right to defend their homeland, but the narrative you push is extremely misleading, perhaps even outright false.

Your point of view of the entire situation is oversimplified and lacks critical thought on the actual recent history, as in the last twenty years, of the matter at hand. Your rhetoric is no different than George Bush's "your either with us or against us" dogma in regard to the Iraq offensive. An operation that was justified on a complete fabrication of lies and was confirmed as such only a few short years after hundreds of our fellow American, and even European servicemen, lost their lives on a purely profit motivated conflict. A conflict which also gave rise to the worst terrorist organisation the modern world has known in terms of savagery and resulted in Iran taking over the political landscape under their sphere of influence.

It is a disservice to critical free thinking to entertain your simple minded hypotheticals without challenging the precedent of global destruction wrought upon the innocents of the bulk of the middle East and North Africa by the very same belligerents now accusing Russia of crimes against humanity after dismissing their attempts to repeatedly use diplomacy to have their grievances heard. That is not simple throwing stones in glass houses, it's outright launching rockets through a glass house of mirrors.

And when more fabricated lies and propoganda are used online, such as video game footage, old training videos, industrial accidents and even a distortion of facts are called out and disproven for the lies they are, the angry statist just dismisses ouright, such as you did when the video you posted was clarified. To did not acknowledge the false claims, you simply doubled down.

That only serves to stunt your own critical thinking skills and really just discredits any further talking points you bring up.
I wonder if you will even bother to read all that, or just say "word salad wall of text" and ignore this rebuttal.
