Chinese health authorities are ordering the use of controversial but more precise anal swabs to detect COVID-19 for a third year running as an Omicron cluster in Beijing grew to three people as of Wednesday.

China has deployed anal swabs in major cities including Beijing and Shanghai since 2020. In the capital, the method was used in combination with antibody tests as well as throat and nasal swabs to screen millions last winter. While the approach isn't considered practical for tracking larger clusters—an established method known as "pooling" is preferred—anal swabs are thought to be more accurate, especially in COVID hotspots.

The new Covid19 test;

Take your finger and stick it in your ass.

Wait 15 minutes

Take it out and smell your finger
If it stinks your negative. If you smell nothing you are positive.

Makes about enough sense as any other Covid19 PCR test.

Did you see the size of that swab?

Chinese are also quarantining individuals much longer than we're accustomed to. I could see Xi Jinping delivering "payback" to countries that partially boycott the Winter Olympics, by detaining their athletes for a few weeks, just to make sure a new strain isn't percolating in them.

Go pee in the garden

If ants come - Diabetes

If you forget to take off your pants - Alzheimer

If you go back home and forget to put your pants back on - Dementia

If it smells like rotten meat - Cholesterol

If it does not smell - Covid

You are not health care professional or are you? In health care taking lab test are like daily routine. Blood, urine and stool etc. So if you are sick for example to irritable bowel syndrome ( quite common these days) lab tests are needed. One cure for this disease is to faecal transplant a donation usually from close relative.

So is that lab stick in the a$$ so terrible ?
