Just think if it happened the other way around.

A robot hedge trimmer entered the hotel lobby and started trimming the furniture. While the staff tried to stop it, the elevator door opened as the robot was passing by. The robot entered the elevator and proceeded to trim several guests. This also occured with guests on several floors before a house keeper smashed the robot with a fire extinguisher. No official death tole yet because they are waiting until after the next of kin are notified.

Think about it.

Wait? Wait...
So you're saying the robot went up to the guest and started trimming their.. *cough er hemm* carpets and drapes? 👀👀

One observation is that so far, in a long existence, I have never become "bored with sucking carpet all day."

Well, with rare exceptions ...and excluding bare floors and lock-jaw.

No trimming their limbs. They were too branchy for it's liking.

Floating around the internet right now is a photo of a woman in a robotic vacuum store, using a broom to clean the floor while dozens of display units sit on well lit shelves... Not doing their one job.

Robot vacuum cleaners are generally not as simple as they seem. In November 2020, scientists suspected them of "espionage"
“We studied conventional vacuum cleaners, those that are sold on the Internet. Any of them can be configured to transmit this information. And modern devices are very accurate in this regard,” says study author Shriram Sami.
It's all about the laser, with which vacuum cleaners are oriented in space. They can also read vibrations from sounds on any suitable object. And transforming them into an audio track is not at all difficult.
