Mr Trump is having a bad day. A subpoena was issued to have him testify if he submitted false property values to potential lenders in NY and the higher Court ruled against his claim that he still has Presidential immunity regarding documents during his presidency.
Highly doubtful he will ever be Speaker of the House.

Last thing I had heard was that "The Don" had been presented with the idea of becoming speaker, but had said "no" he was going for the Presidency...

This idea has been tossed around ever since Joe Biden became President and started running the Democratic party into the ground.
Now, with just 11 months to go before the big Mid-Term Elections, the idea of former President Trump being made Speaker of the U.S. House after Republicans take a House majority next year, is becoming more serious.

"After the next election cycle when we take back the House of Representatives, when we send Nancy Pelosi back to the filth of San Francisco, my commitment to you is that my vote for speaker of the US House of Representatives will go to Donald J. Trump," Gaetz said during the July rally.
During a Tuesday December 7, 2021 news conference on the imprisonment of January 6 defendants, Rep. Matt Gaetz said he'd talked to former President Donald Trump about making him speaker of the House of Representatives if the Republicans were to retake the majority in the 2022 midterm elections.
When pressed for additional details on the conversation, Gaetz said he kept "conversations with the former president between the two of us."
I don't think Donald Trump would take the job/position, if he's planning on running for President again. Running for President would take most of his time.
But then again, Nancy Pelosi doesn't do squat except drink, travel, perfect her corruption, and invent ways to investigate Republicans.
With Donald Trump's work ethic and focus, he'd likely accomplish more in a single day, than Nancy does during an entire month.

Trump as Speaker? I don't like him and I'm against it, but it must be considered.
First we need a determination if he has to be a House member to be Speaker. Probably has to happen to be judged, and SCOTUS is partisan Republican. So, it could well be approved. If he can...
The Constitution is silent on the matter. SCOTUS won't get involved because its a "separation of powers" thing - the Court does not get involved in the Constitutional perogatives of the other branches of government.
Yes it's daily work, and that's not his strength
To put it mildly
But
The office of Speaker is a Constitutional office, with major powers and privileges,
he (with staff to do the detail work) could do a lot with it.
You mean like Bannon and the other co-conspirators? Sure they could.
And
It would help shield him for all his legal problems.
These two might draw him to do it.
I'm not sure any of that is true, but I'm sure that his ego would not allow it unless he thought he could eliminate the President and the Vice President somehow.
I give it 10-15%, not likely but these days, don't rule out anything.
I do rule it out. Not gonna happen.

Would he take the speaker of the house to depose Pelosi without ever running, for revenges sake, I say yes
This would be pretty funny, then they impeach both president and VP, and back to being president, it would be crazy and enrage the far left like never before. It would amplify TDS to the max.
I wouldn't mind it happening just for the laughs it would cause, just like after Trump was elected.
The mayhem in congress would be epic, he would gavel down AOC and her pals every chance he got.
It would be so chaotic.

How funny and ironic would that be?
It seems anything is possible nowadays

A new bill introduced on Monday by Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) would allow only an elected House member to serve as Speaker after former President Trump called the suggestion that he seek the gavel "so interesting."
The Constitution does not directly state that the House Speaker must be a member of the chamber, but to date, the role has never been filled by an outsider.
