For some reason that I'm not sure of, you can not visually record federal court cases. There is audio and a couple rooms to listen in and thus there are transcripts available.

If there were pictures of her in jail etc, would you believe them?

The amount of suppressed and redacted info in this trial is to a very large degree. Much in the name of privacy but someone with more knowledge of trial law may come in and correct me.

What I do know is that in the name of "national security," they can pretty much redact anything.

There is, the prosecution tried to slip in redacted flight logs (I think) where not only were the victims names redacted, which makes sense, but so were the passengers. I believe the judge gave them until next Thursday to submit the unredacted version. I got this from goodlawgic on YouTube, he is at the courthouse everyday uploads at lunch and in the evening, then does a live stream at like 10 or 11pm eastern.

I've been hearing the same sentiment as well.

The hit to their credibility is much easily overcame than the information that could potentially be released to the public.
