What is this? Daughter found it...

I have seen something similar to that on the top of those wrought iron fences around yards. The gate has something like that on it too, but I have never looked real close at those peaks on the fence. They are held on by a stove bold into the rods sometimes. Just a possibility, it looks like it is made out of a metal like that. There used to be a lot of different kinds of them in areas years ago, now most have been replaced.

It could be a part of almost anything though, it does look like it is fairly old but then again it could have been made to look old. It could have even been a part of a metal plant stand or something, they put decorative parts on lots of things over the years.

I have no idea what it is, but it's a lovely piece. Maybe take it to an antique shop and see if they might know.
