Dig your threads, almost always read them always a good idea to have an eye on China. This is a concerning development. I'm checking to see how unusual this is, I don't remember joint exercises during Trump or Obama administrations? perhaps it's sending a message to Joey, or it's just a commie circle jerk.

MOSCOW -- Russia's defense minister on Friday hailed joint war games with China this week as a sign of increasingly close military cooperation that should expand further.

Sergei Shoigu flew to China to attend the drills that wrapped up Friday in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Russia has sought to expand ties with China as its relations with the West sank to post-Cold War lows over Moscow’s 2014 annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea, accusations of Russian hacking attacks, interference in elections and other disputes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and China's leader, Xi Jinping, have developed strong personal ties to bolster a “strategic partnership” between the former Communist rivals as both Moscow and Beijing face increasing tensions with the West. And even though Russia and China in the past rejected the possibility of forging a military alliance, Putin said last fall that such a prospect can’t be ruled out entirely.

Putin also noted in October that Russia has been sharing highly sensitive military technologies with China that helped significantly bolster its defense capability.

I find that crazy considering China and Russia had border conflicts and continue to have border issues but I guess the enemy of my enemy. Here is a couple of ideas I have that might be out there as to why the team up.

1. The most obvious is its a show of force to the US
2. With the supply chain and resource issues maybe this will lead to some sort of market alliance.
3. A little crazy but might as well throw it out there maybe they are worried about American technology like the UAPs

It might have something to do with both Russia and China have USA/UK/NATO and their allied subservants on their borders one way or another and they both feel threatened by this encirclement, in addition to having their traditional provinces like Ukraine and Taiwan occupied (in their eyes) by westerners.

But China and Russia have very recently had disputes over Siberia if anything if they are to team up it will only push those problems down the line for Russia.

Oh yeah for sure

It kind of reminds me how the British and the French teamed up in WW1 to take on the new kid on the block Germany. Britain and France likewise had recent disputes, big ones too. Yet when confronting this brand new country called Germany which sought to take on the old powers and their economic dominance, Britain and France went all in to crush this threat.

Russia and China might well not be best of friends yet teaming up together might be their only defence against an enemy that literally sits on their border and desires to change their political systems.

Russia is not a player these days anymore. They have no modern destroyer. And no production capacity for Su-57.

Hey dood I'm no Ruskie fanboy.............. Yet Russia does hold the largest nuke stock pile on planet Earth, a kick ass submarine fleet, the biggest country on this planet by a man mile with all the enormous resources that entails, plus a global influence in much of the FSU and alliances with with China and India that makes it a major "player" on the global stage
