A really good story about the end of civilization

The end of civilization comes with a computer A.I. worm that is released upon the world and takes down everything electronic. Phones, credit cards, Banks, the stock exchange, and without cash you starve until your countries currency also becomes worthless. The author is one of the best at conveying a believable scenario that is action packed and fast moving. Seems like it has some truth to it .

Absolutely used to love stories like this, now it seems too close to home LOL. It's almost like I don't want to hear another scenario, we might be at an end of the world scenario and not even know it.

I saw the movie and assume it's likely based off this book? On Amazon Prime featuring Chris Pratt, pretty good SYFY flick.

Don't think so, that movie is about people from the future coming back for soldiers to fight aliens. It's a so-so flick.
