I saw this video and decided to share because I found it interesting, and because it helps me understand my weird visual impairment a little better.

We don't realize how much of what we see is determined by our brains, and has little to do with our eyes.

Our eyes do a really good job of capturing light from objects around us and transforming that into information used by our brains, but our eyes don’t actually “see” anything.

I am reminded of this daily, and I find it down right funny on occasion, when my brain dishes up something that does not compute.

We like to believe that seeing is believing, and it is a requirement for many as a barometer for truth. Our eyes may not deceive us, but our brains will.
