Oh my god that was crazy, never witnessed anything like it in my entire life.

Just sitting here on my couch playing RDO after a hard days work, then all of a sudden the whole apartment building just starts shaking.

Absolutely just blew my mind... I’m sure it’s just all well and normal for people living in earthquake prone regions. But it isn’t exactly a normal occurrence in Melbourne.

Went on for like 15 seconds and that was about how long it took me to register it as real and not some crazy dream... lol.

You aught to try one of our California earthquakes. You try and run outside for those, as long as the doors will still open. Ive seen trees swinging side to side right at my house, and my buddy lived next to the 880 freeway. He ran outside and all he saw was dust. The whole freeway fell. That was a big one.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Sorry you had that experience.. it is pretty freaky to anyone that's not had to ride one out.

I'm from California and so I grew up with them... doesn't make them any more fun tho.. LOL. We just had one a few days ago based from Carson City and I was on the PC reading an lengthy email and my heart started pounding and I got all dizzy and discombobulated in balance.. strong ringing in the ears.

This was at 7:58pm

Then I read the next day that there was the earthquake at 7:59pm.. so thats the most logical explanation for my feelings.

Still.. it's pretty freaky when it happens... If anyone is familiar with the The Charlotte King Effect, then you might get where I'm coming from.

Level 306.

I was actually doing CTA solo at the time and was half way though wave 9 when it happened, so obviously I wasn’t exactly in the position where I could just drop the controller... lol.

First EQ I experienced was about 18 months ago in Peru. Freaky experience to be sure! Not what I expected at all!

Too many movies I guess. I expected an EQ to be violent up and down shaking. What I experienced was rhythmic side to side swaying. At first I thought I was drunk, but I hadn't been drinking. Then I realized I was on the 15th floor of a reinforced concrete building, and the building was moving from side to side, actually flexing. I could tell the building was flexing because ceiling tiles started popping out, so the building was twisting and racking at the same time.

I bolted down to the lobby and asked what was going on???? They just shrugged it off...just another EQ, happens all the time. Not for this kid, it doesn't!!! Skeered the heck outta' me!! I ran outside incase there was another one. When I got outside I realized not even running outside would help, there were tall buildings all around. There was no refuge from it.

That kind of power is spooky right down to the core!

Completely understandable.
And it wouldnt be held against you if tragedy struck and you were found with the controller still in your hands hahah.

I just started playing RDO again last week after like a year away.
I didn’t even know where to pick up.
After running around aimlessly for 3 hours I Got discouraged and fired up AC Valhalla.
Which is a phenomenal game btw.
Some of those vistas are so beautiful.

These grow in magnitude the stronger they go.

6.0 is 10 times less than a 7.0, which is 10x less than an 8.0, which is what was originally reported for here at n Anchorage, Alaska a couple days after Thanksgiving a fee years ago. Then it was “revised down” to 7.9M even though roads collapsed and buildings shifted off their foundations… just can’t worry the public too much!! They might right, or vote Independent, or something crazy like that!!! (LOL! Politicos are scardy cats!!)

So, yeah, for a place that doesn’t see tremblers that was significant!!!

Welcome to the club!!

In this subduction zone, we’ve seen volcanoes, tsunami, earthquakes, high gas prices, the death of porno, and rampant jingoism!!! When they introduce siracha ketchup bacon jam… as Dio would sing…. Look Out!!!
