You are correct, if we had all 157 C-17s FMC and working it no problem be done with time to spare... but since they putzed around waited, dallied, and generally screwed the pooch we dont have the assets in place to manage that level of heavy lifting which is why they brought the civilian reserve planes into play to free up the handful of assets we have that can heavy lift.

Aid workers, diplomatic staff, educators (technical and otherwise), journalists and about a dozen other professions sent there as part of the failed nation-building project.

They aren’t all in Kabul either. A lot are in Jalalabad, Kandahar and other places. No idea what will happen to them. Nothing good i imagine.

Oh i am already whining about them. Why do they get put on planes before our people. and they should stay in their country and effing fight for it. They are ok with us dying for their country but they turn and run and grab seats our fellow countrymen should have first dibs at?

Probably wouldn't leave billions of dollars worth of hi-tech military equipment laying around, probably would have evacuated civilians, contractors, and allies BEFORE the military personnel, probably would have responded aggressively with relentless airstrikes on the fast moving taliban to thwart their gains.

Instead we have Biden who essentially made a group of desert rat terrorists become an actual army full of US military equipment.

So why didnt the clown in chief pull out the Americans BEFORE removing all the military, many of them have been fighting for 20 years, they have 50k + dead and injured fighting the Taliban and Alqueda.

Think it through for a second, 1 day they were fighting alongside the strongest military in the world with the best aircraft overhead to assist... literally the next they were alone.

Add on to it, this was during the height of fighting season, their morale broke.

Afgan spec ops, and a number of other units are now with the reformed northern alliance, though it doesnt look good considering the bonanza of gifts the biden administration gave a bunch of 8th century barbarians.
