That was a big one. Northern Peru, near Ecuador.

LIMA, Peru -- A magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook the north Pacific coast of Peru on Friday, sending people fleeing their homes and damaging a centuries old church.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake happened at 12:10 p.m. local time, with an epicenter about 5 miles (8 kilometers) east of the city of Sullana. It was also felt in southern Ecuador.

Check the cracks in the beach and landslides right to the ocean, kind of scary.

WTF man.

That's not good folks, it's the so called "Ring of Fire". The Nazca Plate is waking up after many years. Earthquakes are historically frequent in the area but it's been somehow quiet lately.

If there is a connection there. It might be the pole shift going on. Just a guess.

Was the 3rd picture in the OP a landslide or a tsunami?

Either way, scary.

Interesting!
But not an underwater eruption though. I was thinking about musicmagic saying how warm the sea is.

Yep, scary. Landslide straight to the ocean combined with liquefication of the sand just meters away from the ocean too.

I wouldn't stay in that area one minute. The whole thing can go down anytime and force to change maps.

In my opinion, one of the best alerts you can have comes from the animals. They act different right before this kind of disaster.

Yes indeed they do!
I think it was Pilot Whales were beaching themselves in Japan a week-10 days before Fukashima. My spidery senses were alerted, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect what transpired.
