Large Iranian navy ship sinks after catching fire

Interestingly there is now an Oil refinery ablaze in Iran , the fire reportedly started yesterday after the navy ship had sunk.

The fire began at the state-owned Tondgooyan Petrochemical Co. to the south of Tehran on Wednesday night, sending a huge plume of black smoke into the sky over the capital.

The Oil Ministry's SHANA news agency said the fire broke out over a leak in two waste tanks at the facility. Authorities initially suggested the flames affected a liquified petroleum gas pipeline at the refinery.

Two large fires on the same day seems like a strange coincidence.

Well, if you had the weapon and could get away with it. The thing to do is soften up the enemy first by strategic attacks on infrastructure. Take out a couple of refineries and make it look like accidents and suddenly transportation grinds to a halt. Take out a well placed power plant and the whole network could go down and take days to weeks to restore. Etc, etc.

A paralyzed enemy is a weak one. If this is the start of a war expect plenty more of "accidents" like these.
