For the better part of 20 years, I've had the same three dogs.
Sarah, Roscoe and Kady. We raised them alongside our kids.

We first got Sarah when my daughter [ now 20 ] was only 18 months old. Sarah was 3 months.

A couple years after that, we got Roscoe. He was bought from a puppy farm that was a horror show. When we saw the conditions, we called animal control, got it shut down and the lady who ran it was arrested, heavily fined and forbidden to ever have a business involving animals ever again.

A year or so later, we got Kady, also a rescue. At that point, we have 2 Great Pyrenees and a Rat Terrier.
The Gang.

Sarah died in 2017.

Roscoe died in 2020.

Kady took her last ride to the vet on Wednesday.

My ex wife's parents have a large farm where we took Sarah, so we also took Kady out there. Yes, my ex wife helped bury her. These dogs were our friends and family.

I'm tired of burying my friends.

Lost my best friend last year it was hard.

Condolences friend.

P.S. my wife also helped dig the hole on this one and the last back in 07.

Best thing I ever did was get a new best friend although I still miss my little buddy shadow.

They do become part of your family.

It's always so, so hard when they go.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss, Brother. Death is part of life. Embrace it. You gave your pets better lives than they would have had without you. Get yourself a new puppy and feel that one-of-a-kind love only they can manifest.

I still miss all of my cats who have passed away.I had
my babies cremated and have their ashes in little boxes.
If I pass away first the babies get buried with me,my
husband first,buried with him.

From your title I already knew and dreaded what was coming. So sorry for your loss. It sounds like all your friends had long and happy lives. That you were able to bury them somewhere special is the greatest gift for them. When we lost our Lucky we were separated by the Atlantic ocean, so we never saw him again and he was just taken away for 'disposal'... so ingracious and adding a sense of guilt to our sadness.

Stay strong!

You live long enough.

You will bury every single thing you love.
