Change the law?

You mean like Democrat governors did with voting in the 2020 Presidential election?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I don't know about any state governor changing election laws. But, I do know that the Pennsylvania State Legislature voted to change their election law a year before the 2020 election.

On topic, this is state legislatures rushing to change a law, and Mitch McConnell holding out until it's done.

No they didn't.

Kathy Boockvar, Pennsylvania’s secretary of state, stepped down because of her illegal changing of election laws that benefited the Dims in their cheating efforts in the state.

Gov. DeWine (Ohio) canceled the in person voting in the 2020 Primary by decree. Was overruled by the Ohio Supreme Court and then ordered an appointed position (Health Director) to cancel the Primary in defiance of the Ohio Supreme Court.

The State Legislature still wants to grab some of that power and I proposed to a group to pursue an Ohio Constitutional Amendment to obtain and secure the power of recall to the People by petition with replacement at a special or general election as needed or required. As a response to both DeWine overstepping authority and the former Speaker retaining office (but only lost Speakership) on a federal bribery charge over a bill he forced through.

Bye Mitch. Don't let the door hit ya.

Hopefully, he and his "wife" both see a stretch in jail.

Happy to hear that ol Mitch is heading back to the Clampett homestead

Republicans have been under considerable pressure from Trump-supporting constituents to repeal Act 77 and significantly curtail mail voting in Pennsylvania.

The law passed in 2019 with bipartisan support after being spearheaded by Republicans. Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf has said he won’t support any effort to limit mail voting rules.

No she didn't.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf confirmed on Monday that embattled Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar will resign, effective Friday, after her agency failed to advertise a proposed constitutional amendment that affects survivors of sexual abuse.

KY Governor "appointing" or voters "electing" -- no difference since it's rigged anyway right ? 😃

Interesting that now it's a problem with democrats in charge... Ole nancy though has been helping her husband's business for decades and that's somehow ok.

Banana republic here we come.

Good riddance.

And what's this "preparing to leave office" unless there is indeed some sort of power brokering happening.

If it takes any of these people more than 15 minutes to clean out their desk and get off the premises, they've been in office too long.

Working on it by trying to change the law so he can appoint his own successor, rather than let the people vote them in... how is THAT not the headline in the news?

Well that was that...

Beshear vetoes McConnell-backed Senate vacancy bill... www.courier-journal.com... 001/

Beshear vetoed Senate Bill 228, which strips the governor of his sole power to appoint a replacement to fill a vacancy to Kentucky's U.S. Senate seat in the event of a death or retirement.

Glad to hear the old fart is leaving the Senate. The sooner he's gone, the better of we'll be, IMO.
