Freddy, a great Dane, was according to Guinness World Records a whopping 3ft 4 in. from foot to withers and 7ft 5.5 in when standing on his hind legs.
He was described by his owner as "A total soppy bugger who was hand fed."

That's all I got but I can't wait to see how one of you finds a way to make this political.
I've issued my challenge, now have at it, ATS.

What makes Danes great?

Just more nationalist supremacy dribble.

Actually saw this a couple hours ago. My Murphy is a weimaranar weighing in now a a solid 136 lbs(and that's on a diet ).
he's 8 now. And makes me hold him harder. Murphy is a small great Dane, and danes are giant gentle dogs😔

I was once amazed to witness a large, tail wagging Great Dane maneuver around a small living room without knocking anything over. Quite impressive.

We have a buddy who's a vet. He has a fondness for mastiffs. He lost his first one, Winston, to cancer around that age. He was pretty broken up about it.

Oh goodness I do. He didn't walk his first year, I carried him everywhere. He was nicknamed "Football". I see stories like the OP or Great Dane, and start having a Marley And Me moment.

True story...I also am frequently referred to as "a total sopping bugger who was hand fed"...a distinction that I bear proudly.

Great Danes are rarely a long lived breed. About 8 years is the average

RIP pooch.

I think a lot of the giant dog breeds are short lived.

Most giant things rarely last long. Humans with Gigantism tend to kick the bucket relatively early on.

Genetics is weird.

When Freddy sits around the house...he literally sits "around" the house.
I got a million of 'em, folks. I'll be here all week.
