MSM Warns of Pending Supply Shortages Coming Back, No Mention of Election Results

I wonder if most people accept the MSM's messaging and depiction of "current events" at face value, without peeking beneath the covers of their "stories", or do they eye things with any heightened awareness or skepticism, particularly nowadays, and most especially post-COVID. You know, that pesky global pandemic. The one that was breaking in China back in Jan/Feb 2020 (I read all about it thanks to peeps here on ATS), but got 0, BUPKUS traction in US media until well into March? MSM had much much more important "stories" to cover (Impeach! Impeach! Impeach!). This was the same MSM that had to be dragged kicking & screaming to the thesis that COVID-19 outbreak was a byproduct of shoddy R&D protocols in a Wuhan laboratory and NOT somebody feasting on chilled monkey brains from a wet market. Welp. They be at it again.

Seems that with (their words) "RECORD NUMBERS OF CORONA VIRUS CASES SWEEPING THE NATION!!" and "THE BIGGEST SHOPPING SEASON OF THE YEAR APPROACHING", stores are re-instituting buying caps on products at grocery and home supply chains.



Hmmm.

So I guess COVID has people more inclined to use the lavatory (expected shortages of TP for buthole again)? Or is it the annual Thanksgiving run on toilet paper?

And COVID has also turned people into bumbling stumbling bufoons, more prone to spilling stuff (again more shortages projected for paper towels and cleaning supplies).

MSM would have you believe that a synergistic combination of "RECORD COVID CASE NUMBERS EXCLAMATION POINT MOVE IT UP" and the approaching Thanksgiving holiday season form a deadly duo that will cripple supply chains and leave consumers in a lurch, just like back in the spring.

Oh that whole presidential election thing, where Basement Biden is projected (wink wink) to be inaugurated in January?? Yeah, that guy, Hidin' Biden. You recall his remarks during his "victory acceptance speech" over the weekend, yes? The part where he insisted, that in order for our economy to improve, we must MUST beat this virus? Yes, the intimation, the inference, the interpretation that we are heading for MORE lockdowns in January?

OH. No, nope. Pay no attention to that. This is just your typical Thanksgiving cleaning supply shortage, with a bit of "RECORD COVID CASES (PANT PANT)" mixed in.

Nothing to do with consumers understanding the implications of what's on the horizon. No correlation with the specter of an administration looming that has promised more stringent COVID measures, more lockdowns, more closures and busines stifling to "beat this virus", economy be damned. I mean businesses and grocery stores and shipping and production companies must LOVE limiting their sales, and making less money right, particularly around the holidays?? Couldn't be that store management has read the writing on the wall, and is prepping for "what comes next", just like folks that read ATS?

How does it feel to be fed content from MSM with the assumption that you, YES YOU, are too stoopid to understand context and match things up with what's going on around you?

Good news on that front. A new vaccine is coming, and the rona will be gone soon. So whatever horrible catastrophe the MSM has in store will be new and exciting. Maybe a civil war? Leftists looting and burning, while those on the right watch from home. And horde all the TP. I gots mine.

Maybe there is some new plot twist waiting to be revealed regarding ingestion of mass quantities of turkey 'n stuffing, or the combination of COVID and tryptophan will be found to be a digestive Hindenburg?

Hell, on the ABC version of this story, they really went for the jugular: they're saying that cooking spice supplies COULD be very scarce this year, so that punkin pie that Aunt Betsey makes? Sorry, that's not happening.

Sounds like they are doing their homework with what a Biden win means. Thankfully it has not happened yet.

The United States msm is 100% completely unreliable. They've been this way for generations. They're full of opinions and bogus analysis pieces. I think they started getting really shifty when the democratic ran NYT tried pushing for slavery. Any sane person should be skeptical of any "news" source.

I'm sure any increase in covid is absolutely not at all related to the mass celebrations in the street over the last several days over biden. There is absolutely no way thousands of people gathered on the street shoulder to shoulder, singing, chanting, sharing liquor bottles had anything to do with this.

It was probably after Sunday when people came back from church.

The problem I have, is how cloak and dagger everything is when you try to look under the hood to see how things work.

Look at the counties for Minnesota. All red except for Democrat stronghold counties. So I've been trying to figure out how the points are divided and even on our secretary of state site doesn't explain it. Just, some people, somewhere, are getting together to decide who they want to vote for. Not what the state wants.

I just ordered some from Amazon and it's going to be a couple of weeks before I get it. I'm hearing locally that things are starting to disappear from shelves and WalMart is limiting purchases again.

To be fair, when I was working more than full time on top of full time college, gas was over $4 and I didn't have a dime for a car that did better than that 93 gmc.

Seven bucks an hour, forty credit hours a semester, minimum forty hours a week at work... Getting pulled over regularly for driving a #box car at 1am home to nap before the next 7am class, an hour away?

Can't wait.

I did 16-18 and worked pt and that damn near killed me, it was studio hours though (aka 24/7)
Can totally remember the 4$ gas. It was costing me almost 100$ to fill my truck up every week. Te other day I filled up for 24.60!! (grocery rewards-yay) lol

On topic-- I have noticed several empty spots on the shelves around here too lately. I'm pretty well stocked at the moment and we'll be okay for awhile if need be. Have been gathering up spices and items for holiday dinners in the last several weeks. Hoping it will be a joyful time for us all!
