Then your “dome” is falling apart. And has holes in it. Which is at odds with the fact meteorites have literally been practically observed and proven to be composed of rock and elements. From a large group of objects observed and verified to be orbiting the sun along with earth.

You unproven “observations” are at odds with a large body of work, physical evidence, and observed objects is space.

So you labeled an asteroid belt firmament.

Big deal. When your “observation” has no practicality achieved by what people call and catalog as asteroids.

I get the feeling you included this to highlight that it was not something you had been exposed to but, honestly the flat earth society has existed since the mid 1950's. I won't outright dismiss what you saw. I am nobody to say what you could have or could not have seen.

I will say this, from your description it seems you only saw part of it. We can't conclude that what you saw wasn't part of a spherical shell around the spherical earth.

This brings me to your labeling of this a "the firmament". Doing this drags along characteristics which may not have been part of your vision. You have obviously assumed it was a dome over a flat surface. Were you given any insight/info as to why it was there?

The reason I ask is because after my back and forth with turbonium1 the other night I started thinking about how someone thousands of years ago might have interpreted an event like the one you describe. I mean you were quick to throw out a couple movie examples because you have those ideas to compare it to but that would not have been the case for someone living thousands of years ago.

Why are you so triggered? I never asked you to believe me. Im just pointing out that you should determine your world for yourself, not just believing what everyone else does.

The firmament is a 3 dimensional ceiling. Thats why its so amazing that the creator created it.

Yeah flat earth has been around for centuries. I heard about it, I just thought it was ancient people being naive, and they thought you could fall off the ends of the earth.

What I saw was the entire sky was a solid roof, like inside of a football stadium or a church with a dome.

After I saw the dome, the dome turned clear like a window that I could see through. On the other side I saw the bottom of a wooden boat. A boat as big as Los Angeles. It was so big all I could see was the bottom of it. It looked like an ancient roman or Egyptian boat. I got scared and ran inside my house.

At first, having a highly scientific mind, I thought the dome was a Dyson's sphere. But that didn't explain the boat. I then started reading about ancient Egyptian religion and they taught that the sky was a dome and that the sun god Ra rides a boat over the sky. It was literally exactly what I saw. Then I learned every ancient religion thought the sky was a dome. Even the Bible talks about the waters above and the waters below.

I don't see how I could have seen exactly what the ancients saw verbatim and it not be real. The thing is all the ancient cultures believed in a solid dome sky, no matter the continent they lived on. They had no way of talking to each other but they all had the same belief.

After that in my dreams I visited places above the dome and learned about where we are and who we are. Ive seen the firmament from below and above it.

My explanation was quite crude because I was on my phone and sent a quick reply. What I'm trying to explain would take a book and plenty of time.

Let me give an example. If I were to kidnap 100s of babies from a hospital and take them to a island. I could raise them and teach them whatever I wanted about the world using science. I could create any reality I wanted outside of the island using physics, chemistry, biology, etc. I could say the water went on forever and create a scientific model to back that up. Unless those people I kidnapped actually left the island themselves they would never know what is really out there. Again a crude example but should covey what I mean.

You could also take 100 infantile minds to a church and let them listen to a convincing salesman preacher for a year or two. He would tell these 100 idiots that science is not real, that whatever you see with your eyes is the only reality (except god - nobody sees god), that god has planted false evidence to sort the weak from the faithful, and that only the truly faithful will reach the bliss of heaven, and that the only truth is written in one single book; never to be questioned, never to be argued against.

My son has a book called The Emperor's New Clothes. I think you should read it too.

From that description it sounds like it was a hallucination. I don't think that counts as seeing it with your own two eyes.

Honestly the wooden boat takes away the most credibility because it was your mind putting something into the vision that really doesn't belong there.

And, of course, the rest, according to you, were in dreams.

Going back to my thoughts of the other night. Lets say someone thousands of years ago was shown, who knows why or by who, that the earths atmosphere protects it from the "waves" of solar radiation.

Now, to them, a protective structure would be a cave, tent, hut or similar on a flat surface. They can't think of a Dyson's sphere, it just isn't there for them.

Then they see this flowing thing that is kept out by the shelter and the only thing they have to compare it to is water which flows like that and also one of the main things their shelters protect them from.

Just a possibility on how that description came to be.

That story isn't really the same.

A ship flying in the air isn't the same as one on the waters on the other side of the firmament.

ETA: Also, the waters on the other side of the firmament must be pretty shallow if you were able to see the bottom of a boat.
