On Wednesday Aron Anderson from Stockholm became the first person in the world to reach the South Pole in a wheelchair.
He’s spent 21 days, 10 hours a day, crossing the Antarctic ice on a wheelchair with skiis, a trek of 640 kilometers. The temperature along the way, in the Antarctic summer, averaged 30 degrees below zero Celsius.

The expedition, called Pole of Hope, is part of a campaign to raise money to fight cancer among children in Sweden.

Dave Russell made contact with Aron Anderson right after he reached the South Pole, and asked what the biggest challenge has been:

“There were many, but the first one was to get out on the polar plateau,” Aron Anderson says. “That was a climb of around 2000 meters, which was really really hard. Then after that, I ski only using my arms, and the glide on the snow here is really hard.”

This is possible routs to the South Pole that make sense. In how to travel to the base camps / ports, in distance, and on time. By people education on how to travel the world, and their survival depends on knowing the geography of the world, and not getting lost.

The sun would always be visible on a flat earth.

Why there is a celestial pole in the north hemisphere and a separate celestial pole in the Southern Hemisphere with stars circling the celestial poles in opposite directions.

Why celestial navigation is the most effective and efficient means of navigation.

This explanation has its problems. For starters, a sun circling 3,000 miles (5,000 km) above a flat Earth would never actually "set," even at the most southern latitudes. YouTube user Wolfie6020, a globe-Earth proponent, demonstrated this by building a scale model of the flat-Earth-style sun as it would be seen from Sydney on a vernal equinox. As shown in his video, the sun (actually a drone carrying a ping-pong ball) never dips below the horizon, even at its farthest point from the observer.

Moreover, during an equinox, the sun appears to rise due east and set due west everywhere on Earth except at the poles. For this to hold true on a flat Earth, where some cities are physically many times farther away from the sun than others, the sunlight would have to bend at hundreds of different angles simultaneously. That's the only way it could appear as if it was always coming from the east. YouTube user Flat Out, another prolific globe-Earth proponent, demonstrated the impossibility of this explanation using simple computer simulations in 2017.

I re-wrote my article I referenced a few pages back and re-did the calculations with a new equation if anyone is interested in checking it out below. Only a very short article, but we can definitely see further than we should if Earth were a globe.

If it's some form of being spherical, then, the standard equation to find the curve is false.

Oblate spheroid is flattening the sphere.

Pearlike is flattening the sphere.

Geoid is flattening the sphere.
