Just found this information out and it seems to be old news ! he did a AMA thread here years ago and came across as a very well read intelligent and articulate guy ,seems he died last September but the family kept the news secret until June of this year

History is full of funky cults and crazy religions, I don't know anything about this guy but on the surface it (his cult) seems relatively harmless.
