Can you explain how listing a commodity on a futures index results in higher prices for the underlying commodity?

With precious metals I think the paper price is actually suppressed rather than inflated (?)

Thanks in advance

Err, selling futures is socialist? Sounds pretty capitalist to me.

Ok, I don't even understand all of it, but I know this:

We need water to survive.
The earth provides us with water.
It should not be owned by anyone.

I've already been fighting with Nestle here in MI for their bottling and the rates at which they do this.

This is not going to lead anywhere we want to go.

I'm glad I'm half way dead.
