Yeah, I remember them as the Berenstein Bears. And his name is Pete Townsend. And Mother Theresa did her job but her private thoughts ran contrary to her deeds.

My timeline. We all know the jokes.

So does anybody remember when rap came out??

Will Smith. MC Hammer. Young MC. Vanilla Ice. Love ‘em or hate’em, that’s not the point.

Nice rap was overturned by a group from Florida called Two Live Crew. The song was Oh, me so horny. And was graphic and got Tipper Gore’s panties in a bunch!

We ended up with CD parental warnings afterwards.

There was a parody group from New Jersey who took Two Live Crew’s song and sung about deli meats. TLC was so POd that they were going to sue them for copyright infringement for the song, “Oy, me so hungry”.

So I was feeling nostalgic.

There is no song called “Oy, me so hungry”. It is now “Oy, it’s so humid” by Two Live Jews which makes no sense.

So, what do you remember?

My timeline is always open!’

Took me about 30 seconds to solve your implied Mandela Defect.

1. The correct name of the song by Two Live Crew was "Me So Horny" not "Oh, Me So Horny"

en.wikipedia.org...

2. When you use the correct name of the song it becomes much easier to track down the parody you are looking for

Like every ME, human memory is not infallible but CT's never to want to accept that.

I am not sure when rap came out, but I remember making fun of it and then Anthrax did "I am the Man"..
And all of us metal heads felt vindicated after being assaulted/insulted by rap music.

Without looking anything up, I remember, "Oh, its so humid - its like a sauna in here" (which is funny, because saunas are the opposite of humid.)

Its possible there was a "me so hungry" also, and it was just a small-time band. There was an opening band for a small indy band I followed (not around the country, just when they came near or to town) back in the 90's. I had their CD. Lost the CD, was looking for one of the songs online. Still to this day have had no luck.

aerosmith and run dmc did a collaboration called "walk this way" on mtv in the late eighty-early nineties. I think that is the catalyst bringing rap mainstream?

You can also thank The Beasties in '87 for that.

Man that was wild when that came out.

More than any other hip-hop group, Run-D.M.C. are responsible for the sound and style of the music. As the first hardcore rap outfit, the trio set the sound and style for the next decade of rap.

It's not as simple as fallible memory. It's an amazing insight into how our brains actually work.

Unfortunately the fools who believe it's real are no different to the fools who blame fallible memory.

But looking at Berenstain bears, the author had a fight with his teacher over the spelling of his name prior to the books.

That means the ME predates the books.

As for the rap question?
I'll say Slick Rick, but I'm far too white to answer that confidently.

Except in this case where the thread was caused by the fallible nature of memory because the OP remembered the name of the song wrong and allowed a ME to form.

No doubt, I 100% agree with you that not all ME silliness is caused by memory but this one appears to be exactly that.

Nope.

You have the wrong answer to my‘wrong’ idea.

Just because you think you know better than someone else does not make you correct. Re-read what was said. This is not a one time or one off item.

Big deal about exuberant and drunken typing. You just proved the minutes. I am talking about the hour. And glib post is going to prove minutes over hours.

Kinda Of like specifics don’t mean crap about generals.

Back to the OP.... besides your smugness, which do you remember?

I am pretty certain that another food song, like Weird Al, is easy enough to remember. Humidity?? Not so much.

Without the internet, what do you recall?

ME off the table. Just your memory. Please...

If you aren't trying to explain this as an ME then why open up with the line you did? Literally your first sentence is one of if not the most well known ME's.

I remember the song as being Me So Horny with a ridiculously over the top video . Since I didn't or dont actively listen to music like that I didn't know their was a parody of that specific song so I looked it up.
