You're confusing possibilities with probabilities and freaking out about worst case scenarios. From the very first estimates of 2.5 million Americans dead to the present, the people doing the doom forecasts have been WRONG.
If you're fearful, lock yourself inside. Wear a hazmat suit when you go out. Let the more rational people do as they wish. Problem solved.

As extraordinary as it may sound, it actually is looking like we are on the cusp of total eradication of the virus. That was not what was originally planned for, but it is what seems to be happening. Now of course, that would put us in an interesting situation, in that if we were to eradicate it, we would have to hold strict quarantine on our borders for potentially years, but we have a long history of keeping agricultural pests and diseases out of this country. It is actually a very real possibility.

It's not a matter of stopping all people from coming in, just quarantine and testing anyone who comes in, which would not be ideal, but is certainly possible.
Besides, quarantining products coming in is pretty easy, just hold in storage for a few days or fumigate. It is possible - just not ideal.
But if we eradicate it in 2 months time, who would want to be the one to decide to open the borders up and let the virus take hold again? Be a hard decision to make.

Except there have not been six million cases.
Not with any magical math.
But other than that...
One third of participants in Massachusetts study tested positive for antibodies linked to coronavirus

I rather suspect a good deal more people more people have had it than they want to admit. Certain quarters enjoy this unprecedented level of control they're laying out right now.

Dr. Duc Vuong... He'll feed your need to fear, but your breasts will look fantastic.
ETA:Actually, I smell a rat. I'm sure plastic surgeons are LOVING this lockdown. Millions of Americans unable to hit the gym, stuck at home eating take out and munching junk food out of boredom while watching Netflix. The tummy tuck & liposuction industry is going to experience an unprecedented boom period when this debacle is over. No wonder he's endorsing the lockdowns.
LOL actually by his reviews he isn't even good at that either LOL.
So then "your breasts will look cockeyed" seems to be more appropriate.

"Facts About This Virus too many ATS Members Simply ... Ignore" (you included):
Context:
Real frontline reports: Help with Corona/Covid-19, treatment for Covid-19/Corona (Hydroxychloroquine + Zinc + Azithromycin/Zithromax/Z-pack)
Heven't found one thread about it yet (certainly not amongst the stickied threads in this subforum, or the most popular threads about Corona). Granted, I haven't been looking much on ATS [edit:] and when just searching for it I noticed some old threads with a few comments, little attention given to it other than to repeat the MSM's talking points about it (or should I say, against it, downplaying its effectiveness and exaggerating its side-effects and dangers of QT prolongation, the supposed shortages, and any other argument used to downplay the evidence that supports the view that it's quite beneficial in treating Covid-19 as long as you use the right combination of drugs and supplements and start rather sooner than later, in the earlier stages of the disease, and/or exaggerate any other reason not to give it; note that besides Trump mentioning the drug, his administration has done nothing significant to make this drug more available to the public, instead, the "Emergency Use Authorization" was used for the federal government and hospitals to hoard even more HCQ without dispensing it en masse to Corona patients at least, especially those that aren't hospitalized, perhaps even health care workers as a prophylaxis as they are already doing in India). Usually ATS users are so occupied with conspiracy-talk about China, the NWO, globalism, socialism, Trump-worship or Trump-hatred (hatred may be too strong a word to describe people's pre-occupation with whatever Trump does that the media likes to draw attention to and get people upset about), etc., that they're last to catch on to these sort of things and problems with "this system of things" (1 Corinthians 1:20; 2:6, 3:18; 2 Corinthians 4:4).
Philosophy (Reasoning From the Scriptures)
Definition: The word philosophy is derived from Greek roots that mean “love of wisdom.” As used here, philosophy is not built on acceptance of belief in God, but it tries to give people a unified view of the universe and endeavors to make them critical thinkers. It employs chiefly speculative means rather than observation in a search for truth.
...
How does God view the “wisdom” offered by human philosophy?
1 Cor. 1:19-25: “It is written: ‘I will make the wisdom of the wise men perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual men I will shove aside.’ Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the debater of this system of things? Did not God make the wisdom of the world foolish? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not get to know God, God saw good through the foolishness [as it appears to the world] of what is preached to save those believing. . . . Because a foolish thing of God [as the world views it] is wiser than men, and a weak thing of God [as the world may see it] is stronger than men.” (Such a viewpoint on God’s part is certainly not arbitrary or unreasonable. He has provided in the Bible, the most widely circulated book in the world, a clear statement of his purpose. He has sent his witnesses to discuss it with all who will listen. How foolish for any creature to think that he has wisdom greater than that of God!)
1 Corinthians 2:6,8: “Now we speak wisdom among those who are mature, but not the wisdom of this system of things nor that of the rulers of this system of things, who are to come to nothing. . . . It is this wisdom that none of the rulers of this system of things* [Or “this age.”] came to know, . . .”
1 Corinthians 3:18: “Let no one deceive himself: If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this system of things, let him become a fool [as the world may see it], so that he may become wise.”
Systems of Things (Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2)
... These expressions by Jesus were doubtless in the disciples’ minds when sometime later they asked the question as to ‘the sign of his presence and of the conclusion of the system of things.’ (Mt 24:3) Jesus’ promise to be with his disciples in their discipling work right down to the conclusion of the system of things also must refer to the conclusion of the state of affairs resulting from domination by Satan.—Mt 28:19, 20.
Other examples of texts where ai·onʹ refers to such wicked system of things include Luke 16:8; 1 Corinthians 1:20; 2:6, 8; 3:18; Ephesians 1:21.
“If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things* [Or “this age.” See Glossary] has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination* [Or “light.”] of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.” (2 Corinthians 4:3,4)
See bolded part about the conclusion of the system of things for what's included in that “good news we declare”. Just elaborating a bit on my usage of the term “system of things”.

The first estimates were with no mitigation.
With mitigation, the revised estimates look accurate.
It looks like the mitigation has worked well and in fact, it's you who was wrong.
