That is raw unadulterated data that clearly shows the world is flattening out give or take a week country to country , and your so called Quarantine was a joke

Another unsubstantiated opinion on the internet.

Has it occurred to you that it may be flattening out because of the quarantine. Has that thought managed to work its way into you head. Do you not think it possible that there is a link between the two. I mean considering how these things tend to spread and all.

I know its way out there thinking but what if..

lol

I'd say that the point is that if you apply "follow the money", the WHO isn't going to act against the party that is bankrolling them.

you sure about that ?

Please tell me who acted so much faster than the USA , outside of China who started the whole thing and a handful of asian nations who are constantly fighting pandemics in the first place. Please tell me what nation acted so much quicker than we did

You ask the wrong questions.
Its not about who acted the quickest. It depends how you act now doesnt it. It depends on the efficiency of action. Would you not agree?

Dont be so fast to write of those Asian nations they have experience of dealing with SARS. A prudent government would be getting advice from them instead of watching like a prize lemon and do nothing whilst it spreads.

In terms of the efficiency of the action. iT is a # up when one of the most advanced nations on the planet is has a higher death rate than other devolved nations.

I dont really care about the silly little politics. The numbers here speak for themselves. So go aheand and blame WHo or china or bats if it makes it easier to swallow the hard pill that says the USA sat there like a lame duck and did next to nothing until it was too late.

I dont know what you are trying to say apart from throwing information around that is somewhat incorrect. Maybe start with a timeline.

en.wikipedia.org...

My quotes came from official posts on the dates I said, not wikipedia that can be updated in real time. On Jan 20 they said they had 2 cases (fact)... Your page even says this

developments may become known or fully understood only in retrospect
Do you know what that means...lol After the fact...

That is literally the entire point of this thread that I wrote . So yea it has occurred to me , the question is has the latter occured to you because if your asking me this question you obviously have not been paying attention.

Yes I am sure about that. Is this your critsm.

One reason is that official data from China is often highly dubious—which can lead to ill-advised health policies in other countries, since studies based on information from China are the first used to understand COVID-19. Countless cases of people dying at home in Wuhan—some being described in social media posts—will probably never go into the statistics.

To put this in perpseitve it was China that isolated the virius sometime about mid jan. Its only after this point you can begin to make tests and collect data. The collection of data takes time hence a level of unknown that was reflected in the WHO reports.

The recording of data in China is no different than other countries or should I say they are all different. There are different types of covid tests which give different readings depending on where the disease is most active in the body. There are different ways of counting data and the amount of participants within these groups also varies.

China was less prepared for this outbreak than other nations they had no warning. Yet some how have managed to do better than countries that had lots of warning.

Sorry that was a joke my bad.

At the end of the day the isolation in the usa will not work because it is less implemented than it is in other countries. The virus will continue to spread until something changed.

How can I say this so that it sinks in , CHINA is very different from other countries. China is a Communist nation so corralling there citizens into little quarantines like sheep is just another day for China, moving there citizens at gun point and telling them to stay in a single location is just apart of there society its nothing for them .

The USA is a Democratic nation of elected officials with 50 states and 50 Governers who have there own states laws , then theres the Senate, House , Courts and Executive Branch that must all agree on measures and must maintain that what ever move they make is Constitutional all the While remembering the States rights and what powers rest with them.

And of course the USA entire population is Armed , so needless to say if the Government makes the wrong desicion things can get a bit tense. So things in the USA take time no matter how fast we move , things still take time.

Be careful Words can hurt!

You digress from the information. Because you simply cannot handle the truth.

No, but when presented with that info you said that they should say thank you.

So I guess you went out and found additional info to refute your own post, kudos.

Great fair play. All being said the lock down is not working enough to stop the spread of the Virus in the US so this might go on a for a long time I guess.

There are different kinds of freedom I guess.

Freedom or Freedom from the Virus

Yes it means if you look at the timeline and understand the limiations of the data you are looking at you can still see a potentially damaging disease. Plenty of evidence available to support this.

Whats you beef?

I been home for 3 weeks now going on 4 so what more "implemented" can I do?

With that said, is spread a bad thing? There is a good argument for herd immunity. Right now almost all that have died had serious pre-existing conditions with the vast majority of the population without pre-existing conditions are having a range from no symptoms to normal flu like.

There is talk of hard isolation of those at most risk and the rest of the population goes back to somewhat normal life allowing herd immunity to form.

We also know that if conditions reach the point of needing a ventilator then the risk of death is very high, maybe as high as 90%. If some of these drugs that have good anecdotal evidence that their use is keeping people with serious cases from actually going to that last stage of ventilator use would be huge in allowing society to open up quicker.

I know. I'm not purplemer. But you asked what was the point. That seemed to me to have been the point and you seemed to agree since you said they should thank the US.

You have now refuted your point in that post.

As a peep one can only do so much. Much in the way of decision making is done well above our head. In terms of pre conditioned problems they are very common and cover a lot of peeps. Asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure / cancer / compromised immune system, obesity. These all increase risk of death greatly with this disease.

Whats more important. Peeps health of the global economy

I have been home a month now. Money has pretty much gone. I will plant seeds and have a nice garden. Its the best I can do.
