Considering the ''official'' COVID-19 topic(s) are hard to keep up with, I've decided to make a topic with currently known statistics of the virus for quick overview. Will be updated constantly. All members are highly encouraged to add new or missing information!

COVID-19 Fatality Rate by AGE:

*Death Rate = (number of deaths / number of cases) = probability of dying if infected by the virus (%). This probability differs depending on the age group. The percentage shown below does NOT represent in any way the share of deaths by age group. Rather, it represents, for a person in a given age group, the risk of dying if infected with COVID-19. ''

AGE - DEATH RATE*
80+ years old - 14.8%
70-79 years old - 8.0%
60-69 years old - 3.6%
50-59 years old - 1.3%
40-49 years old - 0.4%
30-39 years old - 0.2%
20-29 years old - 0.2%
10-19 years old - 0.2%
0-9 years old - no fatalities

COVID-19 Fatality Rate by SEX:

''*Death Rate = (number of deaths / number of cases) = probability of dying if infected by the virus (%). This probability differs depending on sex. When reading these numbers, it must be taken into account that smoking in China is much more prevalent among males. Smoking increases the risks of respiratory complications.''

SEX - DEATH RATE *
Male - 2.8%
Female - 1.7%

COVID-19 Fatality Rate by COMORBIDITY:

''*Death Rate = (number of deaths / number of cases) = probability of dying if infected by the virus (%). This probability differs depending on pre-existing condition. The percentage shown below does NOT represent in any way the share of deaths by pre-existing condition. Rather, it represents, for a patient with a given pre-existing condition, the risk of dying if infected by COVID-19.''

PRE-EXISTING CONDITION - DEATH RATE*
Cardiovascular disease - 10.5%
Diabetes - 7.3%
Chronic respiratory disease - 6.3%
Hypertension - 6.0%
Cancer - 5.6%
no pre-existing conditions - 0.9%

If 'this' keeps up, the only ones left will be children and really healthy early age adults. If the virus goes on like the cold and common flu strains, the world will be depopulated by any sickly weak types and those over the age of 50.

Guess that also means that they'll finally have more women to go around since it takes hold of men more often than women.

Maybe... Just maybe this is the way someone wanted to get rid of the Social Security issue or just simply wants to get rid of the old, the sick, the weak... you know... All that riff raff that people with billions of dollars believe are the bane of the planet and the reason the world is in ruins.

ETA: Wasn't there something about the Georgia Guidestones that had this year for depopulation? I read it somewhere so time back but can't find reference to it now.

Aren't infants and small children more at risk from viruses, like the elderly? Why would there be no deaths in the 0-9 year age range?

There have been no (knock on wood) official deaths in that youngest age group range from COVID-19.

Everything I've read indicates the doctors/scientists researching this thing still don't quite know but it may have to do with the difference between a younger person's immune system and someone who's older.

This younger age group can still contract the virus but are often times asymptomatic as well.

But I thought there was a brick with an actual date on it?

When I heard this part, it was mentioned that it takes place in 2020 based on that number inscribed on a brick that I 'think' someone broke off from the monument and some days after, someone repaired it without anyone knowing.

I can only find information about the year '20 14' on the brick. Photo of brick

This is quite strange for sure. Who knows, it might even be the key to understanding this virus better. Here's a link to CDC information about children.

Thanks for reporting facts and not getting in the doom porn wagon. The numbers on your OP are what I've seen on serious sites. S&F

Great topic, and I'll look for sources for what I am about to say, but
a 42 yr. old doc with NO health problems died yesterday, I think,
and a twenty something year old girl was on life support, just three days after presenting symptoms.
I think it may be a stretch, quite yet, to say this only affects my age group......i.e., senior citizens.
Perhaps it's just more comforting for folks to believe that, perhaps it's so, and perhaps it's not. As we don't have a lot of reliable info to go on right now, perhaps is probably the best we can do, for now.
regards and stay safe,
tetra

ETA: I say this, because I would hate for people to have a false sense of security regarding their age group and/or children......

I look at those statistics and wonder.
Does China not have a problem with elderly population growing too big?
Does China not have male population disproportionately larger than female? (not in height or length)

You could very well be right. I'm just posting current official statistics, whatever it's worth. There is no certainty they haven't messed around with the numbers and we are still in the early stages of getting to know this virus.

Anyway, I'll make a bold statement not to rely too much on the statistics. Just in case.

ETA: I wasn't aware there is a time window to edit your posts. Is there any way around this? Maybe the mods around here can help?

What about Korea, they are way up there on hot pepper intake, and garlic too.
China, Korea and Vietnam eat in a similar manner, spicy & lots of herbs/veggies

There is no way around the time window to edit your post. Admins have access to posts and can edit your post by request but you'd have to have a pretty good reason.

Just alert your own post and explain why you want you post changed. Ask politely and don't forget to bring offerings...

Peace
