Only problem with your mask is that it does not cover the eyes which is how this particular strain of virus enters the human body. One of the ways any way, but go for it, panic some more, the virus can smell fear and seek it out

You forgot this crucial part when choosing your snippets...

Past efforts to develop rapid diagnostics and vaccines for coronavirus infection in humans have been hampered by a lack of appropriate research models and the moderate course of disease in humans. Therefore, a need for rapid diagnostic tests and vaccines exists.

It’s a good summation of why this patent exists.

IrateCanadian, You can always tell that you are nearing the truth if Chadwickus shows up to dispute what you say. Good job!

Some people just hate watching others get serious about a real world issue because it may awaken something deep down in them when they are trying to keep it out of their mind.

I have my doubts about this virus getting to the complete population of NA and other major 1st world Countries, but anything can happen and I am one of those believers who thinks we are nearing a tribulation / end times era. The golden age of the economy and societal growth is over. Everything around us is collapsing.

I wouldn't even doubt that this virus can crash some economies.

I am not really worried though. Just prepared. Sitting back, watching the world burn.

It will be good times.

What good point are you talking about?

Mask is not made for eyes. If you put your mask on your eyes, you don't see. That's why you get eye protection combined with the mask.

The mask is not designed for hands neither, that's why you wear gloves, combined with the mask, combined with the eye protection.

That's right. Take this situations like "disaster drills" and improve with each one.

So by isolating this virus as early as 2003, I am guessing as part of biological weapons defense, they have already determined an antibiotic in defense by now.

My guess is human error created an accidental outbreak. To ensure increased funding and mask such error they will point to their expert ability to exasperate this pandemic by quickly resolving and creating an antibiotic that saves the world before too much loss of life? Yes?

I have no trouble believing CIA is involved in Swine flu problem that China is having. The timing that the Swine flu outbreak and Trump wanting to sell pigs to China is a bit to convenient. Especially since drones have been found that is used to spread Swine flu and Swine flu was used in Cuba to screw with the economy(1971).

If this outbreak of Coronavirus is CIA related I am not sure. Some historians claim the Spanish flu in 1918 had its origin in Kansas. The US military Industrial complex do not seem to have any problem with playing dirty with biological weapons.

So was curious what the CDC gov site had to say about their patent process for biological inventions.

What is TTO doing at this stage?
The CDC TTO negotiates the licensing of CDC technologies with potential commercial partners. Sometimes, licensing requests will be forwarded directly to TTO. In these cases, the Technology Transfer Specialists will assist the prospective licensee with the license application.
For Biological Material License Agreements (BMLAs) where strains or isolates are being licensed out, the Specialists will assist the CDC scientists with the preparation of the EIR form for the strains.

What happens at this stage? After a license is negotiated, post-license compliance must be maintained to ensure the scheduled development of the technology, payment of royalties, and compliance to the license agreement. Based on the terms negotiated in the agreement, a percentage of royalties will go to the inventor, while a portion will go to the originating laboratory for that technology. This allows funding to be reinvested into CDC for the development of additional technologies that can meet other public health needs.

What is the role of the Inventor at this stage? The inventor should keep TTO informed of any changes in contact information to ensure that royalty payments are distributed appropriately.

What is TTO doing at this stage? CDC TTO team  members at NIH/NIAID coordinate efforts to ensure post-license compliance. When royalty payments are made, TTO staff members help to coordinate the receipt and distribution of the funding to the appropriate inventors and laboratories.

It only confirmed my above post opinion that money or funding will be made here besides any other agendas in play.

Edit add: so my another question: What happens to a patent that has expired? This patent says it expired. Is it now a public option now available and no royalties...just up for grabs to anyone and everyone?

I think it is silly to panic and “prep” for one thing when there are literally millions of diseases, viruses, buses, spiders, and scary men with guns that can kill us. Nothing personal, just an observation. At this point we literally know nothing about this other than it could be a virus.

Always been my motto, that if it’s you time to go, it’s just time to go. There are viruses floating around that we don’t even know of their existence yet we don’t panic and stop breathing because of possible outcomes. Common sense and good hygiene are the most effective defense, panicking and developing anxiety can lower the bodies natural defenses

Believe me ... the ability to create a vaccine or effective treatment to the swine disease is a hot, hot race in bio pharma right now because whatever company cracks it has a massive, massive market. Husband's company is eyeballs deep into it.

If the CIA unleashed it, they aren't sitting on the cure for it because every private firm has sunk bucks, big bucks into the chase. So if they are hiding one, there isn't any pre-agreed deal.

And yes, the Spanish did start in Kansas. It had a severe outbreak in Western Kansas and then spread to soldiers at Ft. Riley who then spread it via troop movement all over the country and then over-seas.

Can someone help me define the appropriate paragraphs in this BMLA licensing agreement form. The CDC would be the inferred IC regarding the patent in this thread. I was trying to find out the protocol agreement in regards to a biological material patent that is expired.

The end of the agreement form says:

Paragraphs 4, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 24 of this Agreement shall survive termination or expiration of this Agreement.

Unfortunately, the paragraphs are not numbered and cross-referencing is proving confusing to me. I did notice this paragraph:

Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Government from any claims, costs, damages, or losses that may arise from or through the Licensee's use of the Materials or the Licensed Products.  The Licensee further agrees that it shall not by its action bring the Government into any lawsuit involving the Materials or the Licensed Products.

Though obviously I do imagine that is standard. Yet if that falls under the above listed paragraphs listed ...the CDC protection is still covered after expiration.

I really hope this virus wasn't created in a Lab but animals are being blamed instead.

Can you imagine if the Chinese Government came out and said 'Its one of our viruses created in a Lab'. They would never admit to such a thing.

That the mask is not used over the eyes is obvious enough it does not need pointed out to most people. The good point I referred to was reminding of the need to cover the eyes to be fully protected. I think we all got that without the snark.
