Is this 52d chess?

The recent attacks by Iran on the US Embassy and other us targets I guess begged the question of well if they weren't here would we be getting attacked?

On the other hand you have to deal with the reality that Iran has placed a lot of its own people into the Iraqi Parliament.

Anyhow getting American troops out of the area would be great.

This couldn't possibly be part of the plan?
Could it?

The Anti-Trump news media (90% of US Media) will find some homeless people in Iraq, and blame the U.S. for abandoning this ally.

To the liberal eye, leaving and staying are both horrible. The only scenario where it's not horrible is if a Democrat President decides then they approve that is the correct decision.

Fighting ISIS?

Iran has wanted the US out of the way for 40 years. Now they have their way.

You mean Isis beheading people across the Levant drone striking weddings and sending palate after pallet of unmarked bills to the Iranian government so they can advance their nuclear program?

Yeah that foreign policy.

The one where at least 2,800 strikes were committed without seeking congressional approval.

I think they meant Nobel Piece Prize for the pieces he broke the Middle East into.

At any rate, we're out of it now if this is true, and he didn't make that choice. They did. Any negative consequences are on their heads.

Of course, at the time, the left all sagely applauded all the "Springs" and said he was bringing "democracy" to the Middle East. It does indeed let all of them decide their own fates, and it looks like this is the choice they make. I hope Allah does indeed have mercy because they'll need it.

And they'll be dead if Iran doesn't take over Iraq.
Neither side likes The Kurds.
Neither does the US as evidenced by them abandoning them in Syria.

doesn't this negate the "if we leave them now" issue? We didn't leave them, they told us to go. OK. Pack up and come home boys. We will just sell our own oil for a bit.

The poor left wing war mongers will be sad, but WGAF?

But what can we do? resettle them to the UK? We were asked to leave. I don't think it's up to us anymore.
