Extremely Long Time Reader, It's Time To Join!

Good Afernoon Fellow Members,

I been reading ATS for over 10+ years maybe more. I've decided to finally join this community and share my knowledge of what I can bring to the forums.

I'd rather not get too deep in what I can bring to the table but I'm very knowledgable on certain subjects, mainly regarding Australian discussions on Military Projects. Esp regarding DoD, SIGINT, HUMINT, Defence Force Operations.

My family goes back to WWII with my Grandfather as a Aviation Mechanic, as to which my Father spent 38 Years within the DoD and my Step-Father from the UK in the Royal Marines and now myself being on the recieving end.

Hope to help and contribute to the many unanswered questions within posts and forums.

It sometimes takes a bit to understand all the functions of ATS.

On the upper right of your screen is an envelope icon, which is the portal to your Private Messages. Staff cannot see those messages, nor anyone else.

Above the envelope is a downward pointing arrow. If you click on that, it opens up another layer of ATS.. You will see the word "complain". You can click on that to alert staff to concerns that you see. You can also click on the "forums" above, click on any staff member and send them a private message.

One of the wonderful things about ATS is that all you have to do is ask. People will answer you and help you figure out whatever you are wrangling.

So ya spent some time out in Alice Springs, did ya?

What I want to know is what exactly are they doing with that deep bore-hole they dug out there??

ETA - Oh yeah, and what exactly is that thing which looks like guitar frets (running from NW to SE) used for? I presume it's some kind of antenna, but what's its purpose?
