Good morning, fine people

Yesterday i bought Parisienne coffee. The level of roast is five out of five, so it is very dark. Some caffeine is always destroyed in the roasting process but i don't mind. Testing it now.

ETA: Lovely stuff. A really rich and fat taste. Fine way to begin a day.

Crikey, that sounds great Fin. Maybe one day when 'true love' and I stop working we can go to coffee shop, have a roasted bean type coffee and a toasty. Would beat an instant coffee in the morning which we have to make ourselves. But alas, vocation calls and off we go on our separate ways each day. Even in this clime we keep working.

Dunno what it is that we persist. Even in our leisure hours we work on our house/property. Sigh, mate, to be served a flash coffee would be a god send. You are lucky.

Kind regards,

Bally

Good evening, beautiful souls.

Beer. Again. Not for fun, just a coping mechanism.

Each of us deals with things our own way.

Every now and then, I have a dream that's part of a theme, or maybe series is a better description, that I don't dream of often.

Myself and hubby are archaeologists, on the hunt for a fabled lost tomb of a pharaoh I can never remember the name of when I wake up. Now there's an unconscious desire from some excitement if ever there was one

Most of the dreams are of excavating an area in a bleak desert somewhere, trying time and again to find this lost tomb, but only uncovering sections of various lost cities that are of some significance or another, but aren't the same level of Big Deal the tomb is. There's always important finds in these settings, that help shape how cosmopolitan the areas used to be, and there's always very intriguing little finds like children's mind puzzle toys, books made of papyrus leaves, etc. Good stuff, but not the goal find.

I think last night came about as close as it ever has to actually hitting the goal XD We excavated a small complex, something akin to an "ancient business strip mall" (I don't question the dreams, they just are) and found a heavy stone door in a hallway. You know the movie trope kind, hidden buttons to push and built-in gears & levers to move it open so you don't have to, etc.

It opened up to a tunnel passageway that suddenly looked a whole lot like something you'd expect in a castle in medieval England or France, and was well lit with self-igniting sconces (ok, I admit, that was pretty neat) It went on for a LONG ways before hitting a dead end with a stone table along the wall.

We determined that this had been mentioned in a papyrus book we'd found some time ago, and you needed to place specific items in specific spots on hidden pressure plates in this table to unlock and open the "dead end", which we'd determined was a disguised door. We were sure we had these relics on hand in our packs already, and started rummaging for them and placing them on the table in their spots. I don't remember what all they were though.

JUST as we were pulling out the last item to place ---- damn kittens work me up for breakfast.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? You guys, your timing SUCKS. I've been dreaming this episode-like series of dreams once or twice a year for many years, and RIGHT when we find the damned goal of it, furballs wake me up and ruin it, aaaarrgh

Oh, I love those kind of dreams, recurrent, good dreams.

Yours sounds especially fascinating.

Hugs

Look, it is not very much, but i am here for all of you. I want all of you to be safe. I want all of you to be healthy. Sometimes i crumble and then i have to spend time in my bed, in a fetal position, and focus on breathing. But i am here now. For you.

Aaaw, thanks for being here.

I'm here too, as best I can be.

Got any movie suggestions?

What time is it where you are?

It's a beautiful, cool, part rain part sunny afternoon here.

I should venture outside, later.

hugs

it is a little over 9 PM here and i am boiling some noodles, eat them and then go to sleep.

I have movie recommendations but i can not even recommend them to myself anymore. Dystopian sci-fi stuff. I want to be asleep now. Dreaming as i write this post. Nightmares about dystopia. Then i will wake up, make some dark coffee and the reality is the same as it was before. Not going to happen.

I apologize for my weakness.

Who said I was sane to begin with? Is someone starting rumors?

You and True Love fluttered through my trail of thoughts the other day. "How are they, long time no see" I am happy to see you kicking and well although a little over-whelmed.
Probably still recovering from last year, aye?

Big Bug Hug, that has a nice rhythm to it.
That Mantis is terrifying. Brrrr

But I have close relation to those "buggers".
You can hear there is a story coming up.

shoot must run later
(forgot to let the neighbors dog out, shame on me)
When I was wee one Mom gave me "The Bug" for nature, I had all sorts of "projects" under her careful supervision.
One was collecting a Mantis cocoon in the fall, store it properly, behold the miracle of hundreds of Mantis babies in the spring and then release them into the garden. It was Mantis midwifing.
