No grand recipe this time, just a question...

I was just sitting here having a few chips and some of that Salsa con Queso dip you can get at the grocery store in the chip aisle, you know the stuff.

Anyway, as I was shoving a chip into my head I noticed some instructions on the side of the small jar. The instructions say to empty the contents of the jar into a microwavable container and heat for 30 seconds or longer.

Do people actually do this? I've been eating these silly dips for eons, and the notion of heating the cheese sauce never occurred to me. I usually just pop open the top and start shoving my chips in there. Heathen, I know.

So, I propose this very important question to you on this most snowy day...do you warm up your cheese sauce?

P.S. Now, I could see if you were making some homemade cheese sauce with some hot Rotel and some actual cheese where you would want to heat it, but just the stuff from the store??

What say you?

I knew you were a little rough around the edges, but dang man... you don't heat it up?

Nope...and I don't put it in a bowl either! **GASP!**

Caveman all the way!

At least I remember to put the lid on the jar before putting it in the fridge...sometimes.

Ummmmm....okay.

ETA - Oh, 'double' dip...no, I don't; chips only get one dip. That's plenty of cheese.

I prefer salsa on chips, but I will dip room temperature queso from the jar.

The tide seems to be running toward 'warm it up'.

**sigh**

I knew I was socially defective.

It's cool, you're not alone, I go straight from the jar never even thought of the idea of heating it.....that does sound good though. Hmmmm...

I mean, while it definitely might taste better warmed, if the chip slips in...just eat it.

Versus, say, a velveeta/chili dip that *has* to be warmed. omg

Oh the chili!
I made dip some once with venison (ground) chili, velveeta and Rotel. That was good.
