I've been here since 2005 there are plenty of forums that have nothing to do with politics. Politics and conspiracy are intimate bedfellows, however, and they do get a lot of play here. Nothing wrong with that mods keep it in check mostly

Perhaps in an internet forum that doesn't ban people for their political ideology you are just seeing an accurate representation of what people around the globe really think.

There are a ton of other active forums like UFO's or my favorite the Aviation forum. All of us get topic fatigue. Perhaps its time to give politics a break if you feel that way

I thought we were talking about compact fusion reactors, UAP observations, cattle mutilations, films and music, great cooking ideas, fun stories, random and also disciplined observations of nature, interesting facts, military and aviation tech, general history, archeology, paranormal issues, religion, weather observations, space exploration,
a list could go on and on.

And oh yeah, politics too.

Yeah, you know politics sucks.

Sadly it's what most people want to talk about these days.

Not just on ATS. Though it's always been a hobby of some folks to single us out for hosting topics they don't like.

Not much we can do about that really. People are going to post about what they want to discuss and as long as it doesn't run against our T&Cs it stays.

So? An alternative approach?

Firstly, on the home page everything is divided by category so you can certainly browse the non-political forums.

Second, and in my opinion better... post something non political and interesting! People will flock to it. I think there is a huge group of members that would love to see some good non political threads.

Post it up, I'll sticky it and make sure it gets seen when people visit.

Let's work together. Provide some thought provoking content and I'll make sure it's seen.

Yeah, it sucks. I've asked many times if Rants and Mud-slinging threads could be disabled in showing up on the "New" page. The owners said screw you.

Sad but that is what is dominating the conspiracy world nowadays. Ever since 9/11 conspiracies in politics have been building steam.

The vast majority of people worldwide support President Trump

On a website where most people are of above average intelligence you’ll find an even higher percentage of Trump supporters, for obvious reasons

And on a website that doesn’t block users because they oppose the media-fed hivemind you’ll find an even higher percentage still.
