Colt ar15, 800 to 2000 bucks.
PSA ar15, 375 bucks including a magazine.

We have a local gunsmith who has a self branded platform. He includes a lifetime warranty, they start at 400, and if anything goes wrong you just bring it to him and he gets it back to you in a couple of days.

He even used to do a deal for 800 dollars you could get an AR, 12 gauge, and a 9mm. All with lifetimes, helluva deal for someone starting out.

And Colt isn't the only manufacturer to bow to gun nazi's.

Smith and Wesson is no longer called SMITH and WESSON.

They've been known as "Clinton Wesson" in my circle for nearly 2 decades. S&W are a SNIP company with a SNIPPY code of morality and betrayed their own base in exchange for a government kick back. They can jump on a spike IMO.

Seems the only benefit of being a big company these days is the ability to lobby congress.

No longer getting any actual economy of scale advantage over the little guy. So goes the march of gun manufacture technology.

But the down side of being big enough to lobby, is you're also big enough to be sued. Nobody is going to sue a mom and pop gun shop for millions of dollars when one of their guns gets fired into a crowd.
