It's been a fine week for useless virtue signaling by the leaders of dying cities, hasn't it?

* London is seeing an epidemic of stabbings, and has a severe shortage of affordable housing, both thanks to the huge influx of migrants. Siddiq Kahn's solution is to dredge up a two-year-old twitter fight with Trump.

* Chicago has shootings on a daily basis. The mayor is trying to say they're making progress because "only" 38 people got shot over the Labor Day weekend. So of course she blames the violence on Republicans. (The shootings are all gang-related, and probably not a single one of the guns is legally owned. Also, the city hasn't had Republican leadership since the 1930's.)

* San Francisco is overrun with homeless people. Its streets are covered with human feces and discarded needles. Residents are directly comparing it to places like Calcutta. The city leaders have shown little interest in dealing with any of this. But they unanimously decided to name the NRA a domestic terrorist organization.

Have I missed anything?

Our local school football team hasn't had a winning team in 6 or 7 years so the school board tried to quietly vote through a $36 million ($57 with interest) facilities "upgrade"...
2/3 of the upgrades were sports related including an artificial turf field, new grandstands facing the opposite direction so the sun would be in the visiting fans eyes and a $10 million field house.....

Oh, and new boilers for the school...$700k

My point you ask?
Even politics at the local level is way the hell out of perspective.

Ps..locals protested and got a referendum vote... No upgrade! Tax payers finally won!

Miss anything?

Portland comes to mind; Antifa-rules the streets, protests endlessly outside some Federal Office building downtown, (since abandoned) and the cops are told to stand down. Every time the right wing types march (all 30 of them), Antifa hordes take to the streets and the cops are told.............to stand down.

How do local businesses stay in business in Portland?

Antifa is being protected. If you take a look a them (any video showing Antifa protestors will do), it's clear that most of them are wimpy college students. Probably liberal arts majors. These guys would easily get their asses kicked in any real fight.

Yeah, every city and town in Britain has seen crime rise under 9 years of tory rule, Birmingham has had more stabbings than London for example.
London's mayor pointing out truths about an idiot really triggers right wingers.

Anti-fascists are protected by who? If your against anti-fascists you know what you are, right?

Yep makes sense

I mean if they call themselves anti fascist then who are we to question them beating unarmed people and attempting to fire bomb federal facilities

They may claim to be anti-fascists, but their actions show that they're the true fascists.

I'm against the modern version of Nazi brownshirts, who call themselves "anti-fascists" while engaging in actions that are textbook examples of fascism. It was the Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels who advised that you should accuse your enemies of what you yourself are doing, and this is clearly the strategy being employed by Antifa.

Also, our country has a long history of Democrats creating and protecting hate groups. They created the KKK, you know, and when the Southern states turned Republican, by an amazing coincidence the KKK quickly stopped having any significant influence.

Now we have Antifa, which serves the exact same purpose: attempting to intimidate the demographic group that the Democratic party is most afraid of.

Anti-fa isn't anti fascist. More like Anti First Amendment.

I don't know if they are trolling everyone or truly so self oblivious but they are not anywhere near anti fascists.

Holy hell Batman...that was funny.

Do you even know what fascism is? Yes... Can you define it? Yes... Ok define it... I'm not going to do that.

Literally destroyed his tough guy persona and his intelligence level in no time flat.

Nice picture. Living conditions in California cities are rapidly degenerating to the level of a Third-World slum, and their leaders respond with nonsense like this. It's a modern take on Nero fiddling while Rome burned.
