I know the countries you speak of well. Hardly what I would consider the entire Middle East though.

The sad men you speak of and the hateful women I speak of actually have a lot more in common than they realise. For the most part they’ve been scorned by the opposite sex and wish to watch their world burn.

Everybody should be empowered to achieve whatever they want - within the confines of civil society. I’m ecstatic my little girl will grow up in a world with more opportunity for her than previous generations.

I believe there is a divisive agenda behind the current feminist movement and this is a conspiracy site after all.

Thanks for engaging

I do admit hot chicks get a lot of unearned attention, they can post a pic on social media and get 1,000 guys slobbering at the mouth 'liking' them saying "oh you're so awesome!". Most female actresses and musicians make it to where they are purely by their 'looks'.

Unattractive females can post 'suicide hints' and no one even responds. Pretty sad that looks are the only thing that seems to matter in this day and age with 99% of the population. An unattractive female actually has to exhibit extreme talent and capability to merit making it to the top in today's society.

I know all of you will say "no Muzzle, looks aren't that important!" but you're in denial and afraid of the reality. Looks are nearly everything in our culture/society. Everything is shallow and skin-deep.

That's what everything's based on, there is nearly no depth to anything anymore.
If you are a deep thinking and wise person, great, you're one of the .1%.

For guys it is often the same story actually, looks matter a hell of a lot, and without good looks you actually have to be extremely talented or lucky to make it into fame. There are a few exceptions but it's definitely few and far between.

I totally understand why the little boy wants to be a girl - because he wants attention and love. Who doesn't? I want attention and love too. I'm just experienced enough in my old age (38) to realize that there are tons of negative aspects to fame that most people overlook. It's still awesome though, just not quite as awesome as we often believe because we are "looking at the shallow surface" and not realizing how annoying it would be to be harassed by 1000s of people every day simply because you look great or have money.

Oh and attractive women not only have the easy road to getting free attention, love, and sympathy, but they also have an extreme advantage in legal matters. They just have an edge in nearly everything it seems.

Unattractive females are at an extreme disadvantage. People mistreat them and they get it really bad usually. I feel very sorry for them and their plight. Being an unattractive female is worse than being a man.

So what this little boy really meant was the he wants to be a "hot" girl, because "hot" girls can do anything. Unattractive girls cannot do much without being supremely talented to overcome that deficit.

So he wants to be a "hot" woman. Not just any woman.

Don't get me wrong - I like being a man despite it's challenges.
Mainly because I don't want to have babies or kiss men, but also I think having a period would suck.

And to be more specific - I like being me specifically. I don't want to be anyone else.
No amount of money or fame or attention or love or sympathy can make me jealous in the end.
I think I'm so blessed and lucky that I just cannot wish to be anyone else.
I like my mind, my body, my soul, my life, etc, just fine.

I can still understand the feeling of that poor little boy who feels ignored and left out though, it's sad.

But on the bright side this will probably force this kid to push harder and excel at everything he does so he can earn that success and attention he desires. This will be good for him in the end because he'll fight hard to win.

People who get everything handed to them on a platter end up narcissistic, self-centered, spoiled rotten, idiotic, sociopathic, etc. They lack most of what we all take for granted, our skill sets, our ability to be patient and accept life as it is, etc. One bad circumstance can drive one of these people into complete madness. Be thankful you aren't one of those people, it's all a huge illusion. Shallow surfaces are extremely deceptive in most cases. Sure there are exceptions to every rule of thumb but it's the exception not the norm.

Some great points there Uncle Muzz (can I call you that?).

I agree that unfortunately, looks are given too much credence in society. I would posit this has been the case not only in modern society though throughout the course of human history. It's inevitable when our sole (biological) reason for existence is continuation of the species and mates are attracted to and by physical features.

Completely agree that unattractive women have a harder time than men and I do not envy them for a second, hadn't really considered the weight of that before so thanks.

Not sure if that is the reason for this young lad wanting to be a girl. I think it is more of a case of his mother constantly telling his sister that girls can do anything though seemingly neglecting to give him the same encouragement and reinforcement. True, males by and large don't need to be told this and I can appreciate the motivations behind this message to girls and women though these are kids. Someone think of the children and all that.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Sorry, bud, but word on the street is that "rewiring the urethra" is pretty much impossible.

Just the word on the street, bud - don't know how true this is...

This is a sad story indeed. No one should feel less than, OR more than, anyone else. And I truly hope this boy is young enough that his misperceptions are easily corrected and re-directed.

And I think you're right that it's a direct result of "feminism," but it's also important to remember why "feminism" came to be, which was the historic institutionalized and systemic treatment of women as "less than" men.

We still haven't reached the proper balance and respect, in large part because both men and women -- not ALL men and not ALL women -- insist on comparing, competing and challenging the other. And worse. There are too many women who will condemn and dismiss ALL men as bad, and too many men who will condemn and dismiss ALL women as bad -- for various and sundry reasons.

And men don't have a monopoly on virtue. Just look at the current porn addictions reaching crisis levels. Young men who cannot relate to real flesh and blood women or have genuine relationships with women because their idea of a "real" woman is what they see in porn. And not just any porn. We're talking very violent and abusive stuff: choking, rape, BDSM, etc. This is what constitutes porn these days. Rape porn, sissy porn, pornogrind, BDSM, and so on.

Is it any wonder we have an epidemic of young girls identifying as boys? As lesbians? Can anyone blame them???

Society has a huge problem on their hands. Both men and women are part of the problem. Both men and women must be part of the solution.

History suggest that the ideal of beauty is based on survival.
A wide hip will ensure a uncomplicated birth,
Big breasts will ensure the production of milk.
Some meat on these bones suggest she's a good gatherer and has the background to feed herself and even a kid.
modern day beauty standards are artificial at best if not completely perverted.

There is a whole psychological part to the divide and rule scheme going on.

It's very alarming to see how the male aspect and the female aspect, of our psyche get manipulated and distorted.
The male aspect i would define as logical Intelligence.
science is the main culprit for the perversion of the male aspect.
The female aspect i would define as emotional Intelligence. And culture would be the main culprit for the distorted femal aspect.

Female and male have both of these aspects within them. The aim for both is to achieve emotionally logical intelligence.
When they start combining both intelligences, the perversion of each will start to show itself. now they can work on the perversions they perceive in the other and effectively heal each other's problems, but that needs a relationship that is equal.
Feminism is indeed a bit like white supremacism, thinking emotional intelligence is superior to logical intelligence, and therefore creating an unequal relationship.

When they fail to see that they have been as perverted in their thaugt process to interpret reality through emotions, as the males have been perverted to interpret reality through logic, they might take a step back, and look at their emotions and why they arise the way they do.

Females are naturally emotional intelligent, but have to work on logicall intelligence.

And males have to work on emotional intelligence.

You can cut away a penis or ad one it doesn't change anything your as dumb as before.

When i was about 9, i had long hair and whenever we had substitute teachers our class would get such a good laugh when I would dress up like a girl with toilet paper titys and some lipstick and pretend i was a girl. Some classmates would even bring me women's clothing

When I was about 14 and a boys body starts changing, I thought i would grow breasts and went crying to my mom telling here i don't want titties

Sounds funny now but i remember the emotional turmoil this caused within me very well...

Connect that brain with the heart.

Sincerely No Clue

I remember as a kid when the girls crisis in school was announced.
Now today we have suicides up for boys, highschool drop outs are up, failing in college if they make it there is up.

Yet try and say there is a problem with young boys now and you get mocked, laughed at told you must hate women or all of the above.

I know this is only one of many examples of the Feminist conquest of the west however, it disturbed me to see critical thinking, intelligent and caring women having a laugh about this poor little boys statement.

What disturbs me is that some men, such as the OP (assume you're a man) seem to fear the empowerment of women, and overanalyse what they are saying. "Feminist conquest"? You need to move to the Middle East so you can be sure women and girls are in their place, eh?

Most feminists want privillage not equality

That's not my experience... I noted a huge problem with young (and old) boys in this thread, and it has been totally and completely ignored.

Much like it has been by society as a whole.

Do you disagree that the feminist agenda is destructive, divisive and hateful?

I do disagree. Sorry, but the vast majority of feminists push for equality and fair treatment. I have met more sad men who fear women and their empowerment, than crackpot women who want to oppress men and are hateful and divisive.

That sounds good on paper, but in practice the 'equality and fair treatment' translates to the thumb on the female side of the scale. Do a mental exercise, and every time you see a commercial specific for 'girl power' or other public display of 'female empowerment' wait and see if there is a quid pro pro for the boys/males.

You aren't going to find one. There is no special attention for boys.

Now, I'm not going to say that I *want* commercials or TV shows for 'boy power', etc... but I will contend that our popular culture is feminized to the detriment of boys. If we are supposed to be an equal and fair society then boys and girls should receive equal spotlight, or none at all.

I also know that women and girls in some societies are treated soddily and unequally by men - a cursory bit of research will give you the country names and regions.

Penalty for moving the goalposts, the OP is clearly not about international woman's day.

I'm not sure encouraging any child by telling them "you can do anything" is really such a great idea. What you discover in real life is your limitations as well as your talents. I could have never been a dancer (too clumsy), basketball player (too short), mathematician (does not compute) as well as a hundred other things. Wasting my time trying to do things I was never made to do ends up very frustrating. It's one reason many who get in to college with less than satisfactory scores to fill in quotas often never complete a degree.

This whole feminist girls must be able to do everything movement has grown tiresome. The traditional norms associated with being female are getting suppressed in the process leading to generations of women without nurturing and protective instincts. We keep hearing about safe spaces, the safest place I ever knew was my mother's side.

When anyone has to tell you what they are you can be pretty sure they aren’t. If you are strong and powerful people notice without you telling them. You only tell people when you have your own doubts.

My mother has a Korean saying very similar to this.

A smart person never needs to boast about their intelligence, only a dummy does.

That's because in my opinion you are a reasonable person.

I have tried to address some of this in my area and in the USAF and my experience has not been pleasant. Now that I have a son I'm going to be a thorn in the side of people mocking the issue with boys.

Cause if we don't do it right when they are young, they will rarely grow into being good young men.

I actually think you are wrong. I think we are making our children far too weak. Both boys and girls.
If a boy can't take a joke, they will not grow up well at all. They must learn that life is not fair, that many people
will have an unfair advantage sometimes, yes that includes women sometimes. They must be taught how to succeed regardless.

I am watching a series about Viking. What great strong people they were. One common theme of the show is that these people could take being insulted, laughed at it and gone on with their day. One of the main characters in the show is Ivar the boneless. He was basically mocked his entire light. His father said in the end, his weakness is what made him the strongest.

Chris Rock did a comedy special and basically said he is where he is today because he was bullied. He learned to grow a thick skin and came out victorious. AND in the end, is joking about it. Who has the last laugh?

These are very very wise words! Thank you for saying them!!!

When my son was born, I knew that there wouldn't be any do-overs and I had to get it right the first time. I knew there was no "magic age" to teach him and guide him. That was our philosophy and it worked.

I'm very worried about the boys growing up who have no one to teach them and guide them and mentor them.

I agree and well said. One of my biggest problems with feminism as a whole is that demanded we compete with men, rather than complement men, and it made a mockery (at best) of being a wife and mother. I was a stay-at-home mom in the 80s and 90s, and the attitude towards us was very much that we were either too stupid or too lazy to get a job.

But hey! Now we're ALL corporate serfs, eh? Woo hoo!!!

A show made up by Hollywood.

The amount of truth versus history may be questionable.

I have never understood why people tell their kids "boys and girls" that they can do anything.
Ya can't.
Deal with it.
Not everyone can be a pro athlete.
Not everyone can be an astronaut.
Not everyone can be president.

Telling kids that everything is possible is just setting them up for failure.
