Far as I know the 8chan servers were never in the assigned DoD network IP blocks.

In the past similar sites moved off-shore but nowadays we're at the mercy of the big corp companies that own the main data pipelines.

Still early, have to wait and see but the whole country is really HOT on this issue given the bloody weekend.

I am a libertarian too, and I don't see how there should be any limits to free speech. Even the ugliest types of hate speech need to be protected.

No that does not happen to .gov or .mil domains. I think we need to start exploring the possibility that the military or DoD never owned 8chan to begin with, and if they do, they sure as hell are not about to step in and keep it open after the public backlash.

Also, I dont want people to get the wrong idea bout my attitude on this. I'm only commenting on 8chan being done, I sure as hell am not about to give up the fight.....im just addressing very pressing concerns that are right in front of our faces today.

That attitude about basic civility appalls me. I'm all for free speech, but in a forum where we are discussing an extremely serious movement all it does is distract from and undermine the gravity of the movement.

8chan can be repulsive to those that don't understand the "personality" of the board. Important information is being disseminated there, and, of course, shills and those that wish to prevent that dissemination will post the most vile stuff to keep people away.

Remember. That board was chosen for a reason. A vast number of anons are amazing researchers. Some may be quirky and foul-mouthed, but if you want a big ball of tangled yarn unraveled, there is someone or many someones working together that will unravel it.

Unfortunately, as they get close to getting it unraveled, the board gets inundated with the nastiness you find in "swamps".

Intelligent people know to just scroll past that crap. Nobody is forced to read it or look at it.

I despise certain political commentators. Do I sit there through their vile rhetoric? No. I turn it off or "scroll" past it to another channel. The same can be done with the intruders on any board that seek to contaminate the message.

Anyone being offended by words is more childish than those who speak the words. 8ch isn't Q. Q isn't 8ch. Q uses the platform for communications. That's it. Twitter is filled with more hate, hate speech, etc, but they're not being deplatformed? Facebook? Instagram? YouTube?

Twitter is full if porn too. They allow porn. Theres constant racism, bigotry, homophobic comments and everything else on there too. Wheres the outrage?

Frankly, it's your own responsibility to use discernment. And if you're offended by certain words and not others, does that mean everyone should cater to your intolerance?

Furthermore, all of the chan boards ( especially the most popular ones ) are constantly bombarded with paid shills who deliberately post provocative or inflammatory material in order to illicit the exact same response you just gave.
