When I first heard about a female 007 I thought Moneypenny would be perfect, after Bond retires she tries to get back into the field and is successful.

That would be a great lead in for a female 007 I think... but of course its lazy writing out of Hollywood... are we sure Bollywood didn't take over Hollywood.

The idea that they put a woman in that role is a test to see how audiences receive the idea of a potential woman as Bond though just by letting her be 007 if not Bond.

100% speculation on your part.

Tell that to Dr. Who.

The Docto is a alien time traveller who reincarnates in different bodies.

Anyone getting hung up on what gender they appear as is seriously missing the point.

I could have cared less if the writing wasn't so bloody awful.

Viewing figures are way up so looks like most people disagree.

And you still don't seem to be getting that this[/b still is a Bond movie whose main character is Bond played by Daniel Craig.

The new character replaces bond as 007 in the movie. It's part of the plot.

Clearly she is not going to be the next bond as she is not called Bond and appears in the movie with Bond.

So what am I not getting? All you do is repeat what I say then claim I don't get it.

You are the one going about creating a new franchise rather than having a black female characters in a bond movie. I think you have managed to lose track of whatever the hell about this that what making you outraged in the first place.

My point exactly. Their special was down about 30%. It was not a Christmas special because they don't want to do anything with Christmas, the season was about PC inclusiveness by their own admission, that's not my synopsis, that is what they said.

Which is forgivable if the writing was good, it was terrible.

And in the film the new "Bond" becomes Lashana Lynch.

screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge intervened to pass the torch on to the star.

"There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says 'Come in 007,' and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman," a Bond insider claimed. "It's a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he's been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."

The insider claims that the "Bond 25" script will maintain all of the classic Bond elements, including action and fight scenes with star Daniel Craig, while also tackling the super-spy's role in the #MeToo era — but with an injection of humor over overt preaching.

www.foxnews.com...

If they want a black woman to be a spy create a new franchise.

It's your ability to remember what you typed that seems impaired.

I'll tell what would make me want to watch this movie. If Eminem showed up with a chainsaw and cut some people heads off. Now THAT, would be super neato.

Where did they say they didn't want anything to do with Christmas?

"Bond" has quotations around it. What does that tell you. You're not stupid I can tell you understand English, that just leaves you being disingenuous.

Just in case I was wrong I'll give you a hint. The quotation marks denote the subject is something other than what that word in quotes says. In the English language my sentence means she is not Bond.

This reads like way too many posters are easily triggered morons to me. Bond is still Bond, this chick is digging him out of retirement. What Bond ISN'T, however, is 007 anymore. She is. That does not maker her Bond, it just makes her 007 with boobs.
