Andre Previn R.I.P.

Composer Conductor and Pianist Andre Previn has passed away age 89.

Previn composed some great film scores and was also conductor of The London Symphony Orchestra and musical director of several others.

He won Oscars for his work on " My Fair Lady " and " Gigi " to name but two.

I will always remember him for his appearance on " Morecambe & Wise " for the Grieg Piano Concerto Sketch.

It seems that the BBC lawyers have chosen this time to block Youtube videos of Morecambe and Wise, and especially that one.
The sketch raises important issues; how does a conductor manage a pianist who can play all the right notes, "but not necessarily in the right order"?
